On the above date and time, CSPD Officers were dispatched the 2900 block of Geyser Drive reference an Assault. Officers were advised that the victim was currently at Memorial Hospital and redirected to 1400 E. Boulder Street to contact the victim. Officers learned that a male victim had spilled gasoline on his clothing and another male had lit the maleís clothing on fire causing significant burn injuries to the victim. The CSPD Assault Unit was notified and the investigation is ongoing at the time of this ETACS.

Location
CSPD received a phone call stating that an adult male was in the alley passed out and turning blue. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the male had overdosed on heroin. One officer administered Narcan and then paramedics arrived and provided additional Narcan. The male was revived and transported to a local hospital, and is reported to be in good condition. The attending doctor stated that the male would have died if not for the Narcan.

On April 5, 2016, at 10:05 AM a CSPD Officer was searching a backyard of a residence in the 200 block of E. Harrison St. for a stolen cell phone that was tracked to the address. The officer had been given consent to search the yard by the occupant of the residence. During the search of the yard the officer was bitten on the back of the leg by one of the 5 dogs located in the yard. The bite wound was minor and did not require hospital treatment. The Humane Society responded to investigate and will be following up with the dog owner who was not present.

Location
On the above date and time officers of the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to the 1400 block of Michelle Ct on a disturbance involving a USPS mail delivery employee and tenants of the apartment complex. Investigation revealed two of the tenants of the complex attacked the USPS employee, with one of them striking him in the head with a rock. Police arrived on scene and broke up the fight, taking both tenants into custody. The male suspect was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault and was later booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on that charge. The female suspect was served and released on misdemeanor charges.

On April 4, 2016, at 12:16 in the afternoon, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a possible stabbing at Harrison High School. Through investigation it was determined that two students did receive non-life threatening stab wounds at a location off campus between the school and the McDonalds Restaurant on Janitell Road. The two students are being treated at a local hospital. A student has been detained as a part of this investigation. Devon Wilson, an 18 year old male was arrested for two counts of Second Degree Assault. He was transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

A separate assault on a police officer occurred in front of the high school. The assaulted officer did not require medical attention. An individual has been taken into custody for the assault on the officer. The arrested individual has been identified as a 15 year old male. He was arrested for Second Degree Assault on a Peace Officer. He was transported to the Spring Creek Juvenile Detention Facility.

This incident is still under investigation.

On 04-03-16 at 2006 hours the CSPD Communicationís Section received a call regarding a single 24 year old male who had fallen approximately 40 feet while hiking or climbing in the area of Tunnel 1 or Tunnel 2 on Gold Camp Rd. The male sustained severe trauma to his head as a result of the fall. The male was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

**BOULDER STREET IS CLOSED ALL DIRECTIONS FROM UNION BLVD. TO FARRAGUT STREET**

Officers responded to an auto vs. pedestrian accident. Upon arrival the CSFD was working to extricate a male from underneath a vehicle. The male was pronounced deceased on scene. The Major Accident Unit was notified and responded to complete the investigation. Details are still developing as to the cause. Alcohol and/or excessive speed are NOT believed to be factors in the accident.

**UPDATE: The victim appears to be a late 20's to early 30's male who was not identified at the scene. Coroner's Office will work on body identification. An autopsy is scheduled to determine cause of death.

On 4-3-2016 at about 0747hrs CSPD dispatch received a call for service regarding a hit and run. A green ford explorer with a bike strapped to the top hit another vehicle in the area of Briargate and Voyager then fled the scene. Officer L. Warnes began checking the area and located the run vehicle in the area of Voyager and Federal. He attempted to make a traffic stop however the driver (lone occupant), refused to pull over. A brief pursuit occurred and the driver Angie Chavez was finally stopped by Officer Warnes and Officer Richardson in the area of Interquest Parkway and New Life Circle. Chavez, an emotionally disturbed person was arrested for DUID, Vehicular Eluding, and numerous traffic violations. Chavez was booked into CJC on the above charges. No one was injured in the hit and run crash or pursuit.

The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Accident Alert status as of April 16, 2015 at 6:11PM due to road conditions. Drivers are reminded if they are involved in a traffic accident with no fatality or injury requiring medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and no damage to public property such as a street sign or utility pole has occurred, drivers should exchange information and follow the procedure for completing a counter (cold) report. Drivers can either pick up a traffic accident report form at any of the police department substations or they can go on line at Springsgov.com and go to the CSPD homepage/Forms & Documents/Counter Reporting. Drivers should also be reminded to take the appropriate steps to avoid being involved in a traffic accident during adverse weather and road conditions. Drivers should check road and travel conditions before heading out and leave more time to get to their destination. Drivers need to travel at a safe speed for the conditions and leave an increased and safe following distance from the vehicle in front of them.
