FYIEmergency and standby power systems required by this code or the International Building Code shall be installed in accordance with this code, NFPA 110 and NFPA 111. Existing installations shall be maintained in accordance with the original approval. 604.1.1 Stationary generators. Stationary emergency and standby power generators required by this code shall be listed in accordance with UL 2200.
FYIABOVE GROUND FUEL TANKS The CSFD requires a Construction Permit for the installation of any aboveground fuel tank in excess of 60 gallons. (This tank declared as 1,000 gal by applicant. Flammable and combustible liquids shall comply with the IFC 2009 CHAPTERS 34 AND 27 as amended, and NFPA 30. It is the responsibility of the TANK INSTALLER to submit an application for the tank installation permit prior to installation. The tank installer shall submit to : Kay Yeager CSFD Office of the Fire Marshal 375 Printers Parkway Exterior tanks will be required to have vehicular protection diagrammed and installed in accordance with the 2009 IFC, Chapter 3. Any associated piping shall be diagramed and submitted as well. ***********

FYIBATTERIES As declared on this submittal, this facility will contain electrolyte solution for an aggragate volume of 5 gallons. This quantity of electrolyte solution DOES NOT exceed the max allowable volume per control area (500 gal) as defined by 2009 IFC Table 2703.1.1(2). (CORROSIVE) This quantity of electrolyte solution DOES NOT exceed the max allowable volume per control area (500 gal) as defined by 2009 IFC Table 2703.1.1(2). This quantity of electrolyte solution DOES NOT exceed the max allowable volume per control area for permit quantities of (100 gal) as defined in Sections 105 and 608 of the 2009 IFC as amended.
FYILabeling - An NFPA 704 compliant Hazard Placard is required for each pedestrian entry door rooms containing hazardous materials in excess of the exempt amounts (this door could be interior or exterior) and all such doors shall be included. The minimum size of the Hazard Placard shall be 15" by 15". This requirement is subject to verification at the time of the Hazardous materials Inspection prior to signing the Fire Final. ************** ATTENTION: The NFPA ratings found on the MSDS for diesel and batteries shall be identified on the NFPA placard.
FYI{AST} A minimum 20B rated fire extinguisher shall be located no closer than 10 feet to the storage tank and no farther than 50 feet. A single fire extinguisher may provide coverage for more than one tank but the minimum and maximum travel distances shall be achieved.
