From the Registrar

We are proud to offer you the opportunity to search all of the records of our collections. We believe that we are one of the first institutions to offer a fully searchable database in its entirety on the Internet. However, this opportunity comes with a degree of trepidation on our part. While we strive to produce precise and accurate descriptions of the artifacts and archival materials in our collection, we realize that this will not always be the case.

The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum has been collecting and producing records since 1896. Early records stressed the donors and their families rather than elaborate descriptions of these items. Over the last one hundred years a variety of people with a wide variety of skills and abilities have produced these records. You will find inaccuracies, misspellings, and occasionally humorous descriptions. We will strive to correct these as time permits. We appreciate your understanding of these imperfections of human nature. Should you discover an error we would appreciate you bringing it to the attention of the database manager via the hyperlink at the bottom of each search page.
