Mission
Our mission is to ensure public safety and order by providing police services; reacting to and resolving life threatening incidents; providing traffic control, education and enforcement; investigating and reporting on crimes; as well as working with the Community to reduce crime, reduce the fear of crime and enhance the quality of life.


Overview
The Patrol Bureau is comprised of four Area Commands -- Falcon, Gold Hill, Sand Creek and Stetson Hills. These four area commands provide police services to specific areas of town.
The Falcon Area Command provides police services to the north western part of Colorado Springs.
The Gold Hill Area Command provides police services to the central and south western portion of Colorado Springs.
The Sand Creek Area Command provides police services to the south eastern portion of the city.
The Stetson Hills Area Command provides police sevices to the north eastern portion of Colorado Springs.

Services
Some of the services which each Area Command provides are:

  • Responding to calls for police service from the Community
  • Airport and Building Security
  • Marshals - Court Security, Prisoner Transports and Process Service
  • GangNet
  • Traffic control, education and enforcement services
