Flash floods are dangerous, but you can reduce your risk if you follow the flash flood safety rules! Explore this page with your parent to learn all about flash floods and how to stay safe from them.

Here are the Flash Flood safety rules:

  • Don't play in creeks, ditches or water ways.
  • Go inside if it is raining.
  • If you see water coming, climb to higher ground.
  • Tell an adult if you see someone in trouble.
