Case Description

 

File Number:  92-20835

 

The Victim: The victim Charles Glover age 27, was stationed at Ft. Carson, married and the father of 4 small children.

 

The Crime: On July 02, 1992 at 0228 hrs.,  Colorado Springs Police Officers were dispatched to 1411 So. Nevada Ave, the Motel DeVille on a possible shooting.  Upon arrival officers located the victim, identified as Charles Glover,  laying in the parking lot in front of room #35, suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

 

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 

The Investigation: Witnesses state that a heavy set, white male driving a  1960-70's brown Chevy Nova may have followed him into the parking lot and was seen near the victim's vehicle moments before the shooting.

 

As of this date there have been no arrests in the case.

 

The Colorado Springs Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit is currently responsible for approximately 90 unsolved homicide cases dating back to 1949. CSPD considers a case to be cold if it remains unsolved for more than one year.
