DEPOSIT OF COINS OR TOKENS; TIME LIMITS:
C. No person shall permit a vehicle within the person's control to be parked in any parking meter space during the restricted and regulated time applicable to the parking meter zone in which a meter is located while the parking meter for the space indicates by signal that the lawful parking time in the place is expired. This provision shall not apply to the act of parking or the necessary time, which is required to immediately deposit a coin (s) or token (s) in the meter.
B. It is unlawful for any person other than a disabled person to park in a parking space on public or private property which is clearly identified by an official sign as being reserved for use by the disabled unless the person is parking the vehicle for the benefit of a disabled person. A placard or license plate issued to a disabled person shall be displayed on the vehicle while parked in the space. For the purpose of this subsection, and official sign identifying a parking space designated for the disabled is painted sign on the surface of the parking space, or a sign either freestanding or wall-mounted, or both, which depicts the disabled symbol of a wheelchair.
A. No person shall park a vehicle within an alley except during the necessary and expeditious loading and unloading of merchandise or freight.
B. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within and alley in a position as to block the driveway entrance to any abutting property or interfere with the free movement of traffic through the alley.
10.15.104:DEPOSIT OF COINS OR TOKENS; TIME LIMITS:
D. No person shall park a vehicle in any parking meter space for a consecutive period of time longer than that limited period of time for which parking is lawfully permitted in the parking meter zone in which the meter is located, irrespective of the number or amount of the coins or tokens deposited in the meter.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with directions of a police officer or traffic control device, in any of the following places:
A. On a sidewalk or pedestrian walking area:
B. Within 5 feet of a public or private driveway:
C. Within an intersection:
D. Within 5 feet of a fire hydrant:
E. On a crosswalk:
F. Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection:
G. Within 30 feet of the approach to any flashing beacon, stop sign, yield sign or traffic control signal located at the side of the roadway:
H. Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb, or within 30 feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, unless a different length is indicted by official signs and markings:
I. Within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad at the intersection of a street and a railroad:
J. Within 10 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad at any location other than an intersection:
K. Within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station and on the side of the street opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75 feet of the entrance when properly sign posted:
L. Alongside or opposite any street or roadway excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would obstruct traffic:
M. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street:
N. Between the curb and the sidewalk except where expressly provided by 10.1.313 and except where expressly permitted under the terms of a revocable permit issued pursuant to Chapter 3:
O. Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a street or highway or within a street or highway tunnel:
P. At any place where official signs prohibit stopping, standing or parking:
Q. Adjacent to any curb painted yellow, or ?RESERVED?;:
R. Within a bus stop or taxicab stand.:
A. Except where angle parking is permitted every vehicle stopped or parked upon a 2 way roadway shall be so stopped or parked with the right hand wheels parallel to and within 12 inches of the right hand curb or edge of the roadway.
B. Except where angle parking is permitted, every vehicle stopped or parked upon a one way roadway shall be so stopped or parked parallel to the curb or edge of the roadway, in the direction of authorized traffic movement, with its right hand wheels within 12 inches of the right hand curb or edge of the roadway, or its left hand wheels within 12 inches of the left hand curb or edge of the roadway.
On those streets which have been approved and signed or marked for angle parking, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle other than at the angle to the curb or edge of the roadway indicated by the signs or markings with the front portion of the vehicle next to the curb.
A. No person shall park any vehicle upon a street or highway in a manner or under conditions as to interfere with the free movement of vehicular traffic or proper street or highway maintenance.
B. It shall be unlawful for the driver or person in control of any vehicle being loaded or unloaded, or for the work person or persons in control of any construction project, or for any other person, to permit or cause any object or objects to protrude or extend into any lane of traffic so as to create a hazard or block the same.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle upon the property or premises of another or in the lawful possession of another without the permission of the owner or person in possession of the premises.
Wherever official traffic-control devices are placed designating a section of any parking lot, street alley, driveway or other area anywhere within this City as a fire lane it shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle within a fire lane.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle for any purpose for a period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers in any place where official traffic-control devices are erected designating a passenger loading zone during hours when the regulations applicable to the loading zone are effective, and then only for a period not to exceed the time limit stated on the official traffic-control device.
A. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle for any purpose or length of time other than for the expeditious loading and delivery or pickup and loading of materials in any place where official traffic-control devices are erected designating a freight loading zone during hours when the provisions applicable to the zones are in effect. B. In no case shall the stop for loading and unloading materials exceed the time limit stated on the official traffic-control device.
C. Every vehicle shall be parked wholly within a metered space with the front ( or rear in the case of double meters ) portion of the vehicle immediately opposite the parking meter for the space.
The Parking Manager is authorized to issue permits for the extended use of parking meters, upon payment of reasonable fees as the Manager may recommend and City Council may from time to time establish, to allow the reservation of specified metered parking spaces for the use of specified vehicles engaged in repair work, remodeling or new construction, or the furnishing of tools and equipment in the immediate vicinity of the meter or meters to be reserved. Each permit shall be placed in a specifically designed hood to placed over the head of the reserved meter. No permittee or other person shall violate any of the terms of any permit.
10.12.102:NO PERSON SHALL PARK A VEHICLE UPON THE ROADWAY FOR THE PURPOSE OF:
A. Displaying the vehicle for sale;
B. Washing, greasing, painting or repairing the vehicle except repair?s necessitated by an emergency;
C. Displaying advertising.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any street or tight-of-way in excess of any maximum time limit posted.
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle upon any City parking lot or structure without paying the posted fee set by City Council.
A. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, stop, park or for the owner or person in charge of any vehicle to cause or knowingly permit to be driven, stopped or parked in any public place within this City any vehicle which is required under the laws of the State of Colorado to be inspected pursuant to the Automobile Inspection and Readjustment Program, C.R.S. 42-4-306-5 through 42-4-316, unless the vehicle has been inspected at an authorized inspection station and has a valid and unexpired certificate of emissions control or verification of emissions test. The owner of any motor vehicle which is in violation of this Subsection A, shall be responsible for payment of any penalty assessment imposed under this Section, unless the owner proves that the motor vehicle was in the possession of another person without the owner?s permission at the time of the violation.
A. It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave unattended a vehicle in the manner described in 10.25.101 (A), (C), (D), (I), and (K).
(A is) Any vehicle is left unattended upon any bridge, viaduct, subway or tunnel, or where the vehicle constitutes and obstruction.
(C is) Any vehicle is left unattended upon a street or parked illegally so as to constitute a definite hazard or obstruction to the normal movement of traffic, or when left on any public street with engine running, or with key in the ignition, or both, or when parked in any area designated by the Traffic Engineer as a ?TOW-AWAY? area; or when any vehicle is left unattended or parked so as to block ingress or egress from driveways so as to obstruct sidewalk pedestrian traffic.
(D is) A vehicle is left parked in the same place upon a street, highway or alley continuously for a period of 72 hours, or when any vehicle is left parked upon a street fronting on a business zone area continuously for a period of 24 hours or more.
(I is) Any vehicle is found on or so near to any railroad track as to block the same in any manner.
(K is) Any semi-trailer is found to be parked in any parking-metered space.
