Two Holiday Events at Colorado Springs Airport

Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 Snowball Express will partner with American Airlines to fly children and spouses of fallen military heroes to Dallas/Fort Worth Dec. 11-15 for a few days of holiday fun. Before departing from COS, families will enjoy lunch and a movie, balloon animals, and the Skysox mascot Sox the Fox greeting the children. Brigadier General Randy Alan George and wife Patricia Ann will be there to greet the families as well. The aircraft will receive a water-cannon salute upon departure (weather permitting) and a flag salute on the tarmac.

Event begins at 12:30 p.m. Media must obtain gate pass NO LATER THAN 11:30am

Snowball Express charter #9486 departs COS at 1:45 p.m.

Saturday, December 13, 2014 SkyWest Airlines partners with the Junior League of Colorado Springs (JLCS) and CPCD to offer Fantasy Flight, an annual event bringing the magic of the holidays to underprivileged Colorado Springs children.

3:45 p.m. check in, flight departs at 6 p.m., event concludes around 8:30 p.m.

At Colorado Springs Airport, departs from Gate 11 and returns to East Terminal Unit Fifty children and their families are invited to the COS airport for a special holiday celebration.
