City to Observe Veterans Day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- AllCity of Colorado Springsadministrativeandelected administrative offices and agencies will be closed Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day, including:

  • City Hall
  • City Clerk and Recorder
  • Municipal Court
  • Sales Tax Office
  • Administrative offices for Mountain Metropolitan Transit
  • Park and Recreation Administrative Building
  • Colorado Springs Museum
  • Sports Office at Memorial Park
  • Rockledge Ranch Historic Site
  • Starsmore Discovery Center
  • Meadows Community Center
  • Otis Park
  • Hillside Community Center


  • Pikes Peak Highway -free admission to military (active and retired) with ID.
  • Garden of the Gods park
  • Sertich Ice Center
  • City Auditorium- evening event from 6:00- 10:00 p.m.
  • Patty Jewett Golf Course
  • Valley Hi Golf Course
  • Deerfield Hills Community Center AFTER 1:00 p.m.
  • Fairfield and Evergreen Cemetery- Gates open (offices closed)

The City of Colorado Springs encourages the community to come out and support our veterans at the Veterans Day Parade, Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. Parade route will follow Tejon St from St. Vrain St south to Vermijo Ave.

Parking will be free 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the City garages and at parking meters in downtown Colorado Springs.

City garages are located at:

  • 130 South Nevada St.
  • 215 North Cascade Ave.
  • 127 East Kiowa St.
