Mayor Bach calls for release of baseball stadium survey results

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Mayor Steve Bach has directed the City Attorney’s Office to release the results of a 2012 survey for a downtown baseball stadium.  This survey had been undertaken at a time when a downtown stadium was being evaluated.  The information had previously not been disclosed due to the proprietary nature of the data.

Other portions of the report, “Financial Analysis of a Proposed Downtown Ballpark for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox”, are not public records subject to disclosure, or remain privileged and not subject to disclosure, under C.R.S. §§ 24-72-204(3)(a)(IV) (confidential commercial and financial data), 24-72-204(3)(a)(XIII) (governmental privilege), 24-72-204 (6)(b)(II) and (6.5)(a) (work product prepared for an elected official), and 24-72-204(1)(c), 24-72-204(3)(a)(IV) and R.P.C. Rule 1.6 (attorney client privilege and work product).
