Pulpit Rock neighborhood residents may still participate in Evacuation Drill

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—  Resident in the Pulpit Rock neighborhood interested in participating in the wildland fire evacuation drill this Saturday may still receive information and sign up by visiting one of the Colorado Springs Fire Stations listed below by 5 p.m., Weds, Oct. 15th.The Colorado Springs Office of Emergency Management and Colorado Springs Fire and Police Departments will conduct the drill for residents of the Pulpit Rock Neighborhood (from Woodmen Rd south to Austin Bluffs Pkwy, and from Nevada Ave extending east to Academy Blvd/Union Blvd) Saturday, October 18, 9:00-11:00 a.m

1875 Dublin Blvd.

Residents participating in the drill will receive a simulated mandatory evacuation notice by phone and by personal contact by Police or Fire personnel, and will evacuate the area by car to rendezvous at a nearby location. The drill simulates a real life emergency by testing the ability to evacuate and provides valuable information to first responders.
