Members of North Side Mafia Sentenced

The Colorado Springs Police Department in conjunction with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a group of individual who burglarized homes on the North and West sides of Colorado Springs and in unincorporated areas of El Paso County. The group claimed to be members of the North Side Mafia.
On January 7, 2014, two of the primary suspects were arrested by the Walsenburg Police Department after they crashed their vehicle and fled on foot.
Three of the suspects have been sentenced for their part in these extensive crimes including Burglary, False Information to a Pawn Broker and Theft.
21 year old, Nathaniel Gonzales was sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections with 5 years of mandatory parole. He was ordered to pay $43,258.16 in restitution.
21 year old Gino Rael was sentenced to 2 years in the Department of Corrections with 3 years of mandatory parole.
19 year old Carlitos Juvera-Rael was sentenced to 48 months of probation and ordered to $41,476.49 in restitution.
