Structure Fire at 7625 N. Union Blvd.

Colorado Springs, CO – On May 1, 2014 at 7:58 p.m., Colorado Springs firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 7625 N. Union Blvd, a vacant commercial property.  The first CSFD engine arrived within four minutes to find smoke coming from the eves of the building. Firefighters immediately began an aggressive interior fire attack.

CSFD responded to this single alarm fire call with a total of 11 fire apparatus and approximately 33 CSFD firefighters and support personnel were on scene. 

There were no injuries during this incident.

The CSFD estimates that $1,652,083 of property/content was saved; reducing the overall loss to $93,377 in property/content.

The fire was determined to be accidental due to the improper storage of flammable liquids.

Colorado Springs Fire Department reminds citizens to store flammable liquid in proper self-closing containers, in flammable liquid storage cabinets, and away from heat and/or ignition sources.
