Mayor Bach said he chose Massey as the City Attorney because of her “tremendous institutional knowledge and decades of municipal government experience combined with outstanding leadership skills.”
Pursuant to the City Charter, City Council has up to 90 days to confirm the appointment. Massey’s salary will be set by City Council as part of the confirmation process.
Colorado Springs Regional Airport Director, Dan Gallagher
Dan Gallagher has been named Aviation Director for the Colorado Springs Airport, subject to City Council approval.
Dan Gallagher has over 13 years of progressively responsible experience in airline and airport management. As Interim Director, Dan was instrumental in the addition of Alaska Airline’s non-stop flight to Seattle and the just-announced addition of Allegiant Air’s non-stop flight to Phoenix.
“During his time as Interim Regional Director, Dan has shown exceptional leadership and vision to enhance the Colorado Springs Regional Airport,” said Mayor Bach. “I’m confident that he will continue to advance this important economic driver for our region.”
Gallagher will receive a 10% promotional increase, raising his salary of $132,719 to $145,991.
Deputy Chief of Staff, Bret Waters
