In honor of National Military Appreciation Month the City of Colorado Springs will provide active duty military personnel free rides on its fixed-route city buses. This military appreciation program will last for the entire month of May and includes all active duty U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves. To ride free, active duty military personnel must present to the bus driver an active duty military ID card or wear the appropriate uniform at time of boarding.
“We are honored to provide active duty military free rides on our fixed-route bus system during Military Appreciation Month. The transit services division of the City of Colorado Springs appreciates the opportunity to demonstrate its gratitude for the sacrifices made by our military,” said Craig Blewitt, director Mountain Metropolitan Transit.
