Burglary - Shots Fired


Wednesday, December 26, 2012 6:19 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]

The Colorado Springs Police Department was dispatched to a burglary in progress call. 

Upon arrival, officers contacted two potential suspects when a chase ensued.  During the foot chase, one of the suspects fired at least one round at the officers.  Officers continued the chase and physically fought with the suspect before placing him into custody. 

During the physical altercation, one officer and one of the suspects sustained minor injuries.  Both were treated at Memorial Hospital.

No officers ever fired their weapons during this call.  All suspects are in custody
