U.S. Women's Open officials organize neighborhood meeting

City of Colorado Springs and U.S. Women's Open officials have organized a meeting to discuss an overview of the championship and inform the community of the operational plan and potential residential impacts.  The 2011 U.S. Women's Open will occur on July 4 - 10 at The Broadmoor. 

"We are thrilled to bring this exciting event to Colorado Springs and are confident the community will reap many benefits," said Douglas Habgood, executive director.  "We have been working with City officials for over a year to get to this point.  This meeting is designed to allow us to present the detailed plans and welcome feedback so that we minimize the impact on residents while maximizing the overall experience of our visitors." 

Among the topics on the agenda are: the championship schedule of events, parking information, traffic plan and road closures.  Officials will also be available to answer questions.
