Verizon Wireless Hosts E-Waste Recycling Event in Colorado Springs

Public invited Thursday, July 25, to make a difference for the environment by recycling no longer needed electronics and other items

WHAT:

Verizon Wireless is committed to conserving resources today and protecting the environment for generations to come. For the third time in Colorado Springs, the company is sponsoring a free E-Waste Recycling Event to collect no longer needed computers, electronic equipment and other items.

Since July 1, Colorado residents may no longer dispose of most electronic waste (e-waste) in their household trash. The change is the result of a new law, the Electronic Recycling Jobs Act.

To learn more, see Colorado’s Department of Public Health and Environment e-waste page.

--  Small electronic appliances/microwave ovens/vacuum cleaners

--  Stereo/audio equipment/gaming consoles/electronic toys/cameras
