Vincent Drive Extension and Vincent Bridge

Vincent Drive Public Meeting Announcement
Due to potential cost-savings based their proximity to each other, the Vincent Drive Bridge and Vincent Drive Extension PPRTA projects are being combined into one design and construction process.

The Vincent Drive Bridge is over 80 years old and considered functionally obsolete as defined by the federal system for evaluating bridges. Though currently safe for public travel, the bridge is one of five City bridges receiving frequent inspections, every 6 months rather

than two years, because it is not in good condition and needs to be monitored for changes. The project will replace the historic Vincent Drive Bridge at Cottonwood Creek with a new bridge (some options may include ways to preserve the original bridge).

The Vincent Drive Extension has been a part of the City’s long-term transportation plan for more than 35 years. This is a traffic flow project that will extend Vincent Drive to Nevada Avenue. The COSMIX work on I-25 was built to accommodate the extension and completed rough grading for the project. This connection will provide better access from Dublin to I-25 via the new Rockrimmon Interchange.

Project Schedule: Public meetings on project design should begin in fall 2008 and continue throughout 2009. The construction schedule will be determined by the design process and PPRTA sales tax revenues.
