Traffic Cams

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region. The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55% capital improvements, 35% maintenance, and 10% transit.
PPRTA funding has assisted the City in it's ability to provide transportation needs for the community. Click on the links below to learn how PPRTA funding has contributed to: Traffic Engineering, maintenance, and capital projects.

The capital portion of the funding will sunset at the end of the year 2014 and City staff are working on the voter-approved list of projects the funding is allowed to support.
