Fountain/Chelton Intersection Improvements Project Description: The Fountain Boulevard and Chelton Road intersection configuration doesn't meet current design standards and has been a high accident location. In 2004, the City applied for and received a competative, federally-funded Hazard Elimination and Safety grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation. Benefits of the finished project will include improved safety for vehicles and pedestrians, better traffic flow, and reduced congestion.
