Gold Hill -- Shift II
1428 W Colorado Ave; 7-11 Store
On 10/03/16 at 0150 hours the suspect entered the 7-11 store, 1428 W Colorado Ave, walked straight to the beer cooler, broke the lock, opened the cooler and took 2 24oz cans of beer. The suspect walked toward the door, pulling a knife out as he walked. As the clerk went to confront him, he menaced the clerk with the knife and left. The suspect was last seen walking north on 15th Street. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white male 25-30 years old; approximately 5'10 and 180 pounds with very short light brown hair; last seen wearing blue jeans, black T shirt with a white logo over the left chest, and a black zip up hoodie.
Falcon officers were dispatched to a serious traffic accident in the area of Centennial Blvd. and W. Garden of the Gods Rd. The accident caused the left thru lanes of eastbound Garden of the Gods, east of Centennial Blvd. to be closed during the investigation.
UPDATE: As of 11:00PM, all lanes of eastbound Garden of the Gods at Centennial Blvd are now open. The accident involved two vehicles. The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injury and was transported to Penrose Main Hosp. The other driver did not sustain any injury. The investigation is pending and being conducted by MAU.

Gold Hill -- Shift III
15th Street and West Colorado Avenue
Gold Hill officers were dispatched to a serious traffic accident in the area of 15th Street and West Colorado Avenue. The accident caused West Colorado Avenue to be closed in both directions during the investigation. ********************************************************* The Major Accident Unit has concluded their scene investigation and all lanes of traffic are open at 4 AM.
Investigation revealed a SUV, traveling eastbound on Colorado Ave. at 15th Street struck a motorcycle also traveling eastbound. The two occupants of the motorcycle were thrown from the motorcycle. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The passenger was treated for serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was determined to be DUI and was arrested.
The motorcycle occupants were both wearing helmets which played a factor in minimizing their injuries.
