Title
1170 Interquest Pkwy
Location
On 11/26/2015, at 9:26 AM, Falcon Division officers were dispatched to the Drury Inn & Suites located at 1170 Interquest Pkwy to attempt to locate a 38 year old male who was wanted on multiple warrants. Upon arrival officers made verbal contact with the suspect who was staying in a room on the 4th floor of the hotel. The suspect initially refused to open the door and surrender himself to officers and made statements to the effect there was no way he was going to jail today. Information was obtained that the suspect may also have a handgun in his possession.

A CSPD negotiator was on-duty and responded to the scene. After approximately 30 minutes of telephone contact with the suspect he surrendered without incident. The suspect was wanted on four separate warrants (2 felonies/2 misdemeanors) out of the Denver area. He was later booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

There was no immediate threat to the quests of the hotel. One quest in an adjoining room to the suspect was temporarily displaced during the incident. The cooperation and assistance provided by the Drury Inn management and staff helped bring the situation to a peaceful conclusion as quickly as possible.
