On Dec 02, 2012 at about 7:26PM CSPD responded to a single vehicle crash on Powers Blvd, south of Platte Ave. When officers arrived they found that the vehicle had rolled and that the sole occupant of the vehicle, an adult male, did not survive the crash. Speed is a major factor in this crash and at this time it is unknown whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved.
Southbound Powers will be down to one lane for southbound travel until about midnight due to the investigation.

Family and police are looking for a missing, at- risk adult Hispanic female. Her name is Rosie Gonzalez, she's 74 years old, has dyed red hair, brown eyes, light-skinned, is 4ft 11 inches tall, thin build, and was last seen wearing black pants, white short sleeved blouse, a purple scarf and black croc-style shoes. She was last seen in the area of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Dublin Boulevard near the Albertson's Food Store at approximately 12:30PM on Saturday afternoon. This is repeat behavior, and during previous disappearances she was found near Palmer Park Boulevard and Murray Boulevard; a second time near Airport Road and Academy Boulevard; and another time was located in Aurora, Colorado. She does have diminished mental capacity, with possible undiagnosed dimentia. Any information and/or sightings should be called into police immediately. There is no photograph available.

The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 22-23 years old, 5’10” and 140 lbs, wearing dark clothing, sunglasses, a black stocking cap and a beard. The second suspect was described as a black female, approximately 19 years old, 5’ tall and 140 lbs. She was wearing dark clothing, a black stocking cap and sunglasses. On 12/01/2012, 1416 hrs., Officers were dispatched to the MCM Elegante Suites, 6450 N. Academy Bl., to investigate an Aggravated Robbery. The suspect was a W/M, 40-50 years of age, 5 ft. 10 in., medium to medium-heavy build, wearing a dark gray winter hat with fur around the bottom of the hat and fur ear flaps pulled down, dark sunglasses, a predominantly yellow multi-color bandana, dark blue pullover windbreaker with a light blue stripe horizontally across the chest, blue jeans and gray tennis shoes. The suspect had a deep voice.

On the above date and time the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report of a domestic disturbance where a shot had been fired in the 900 block of W. Moreno Ave. When officers arrived on scene they contacted a female victim that told them her boyfriend threatened her with a gun and fired the gun in her direction striking the wall behind her. The investigation revealed the victim was also physically assaulted over a period of time. The Domestic Violence Unit assisted with the investigation. The suspect is identified as 29 year old Colorado Springs resident Gabriel Martin. Mr. Martin is still at large and is currently wanted on charges that range from Felony Menacing to Reckless Endangerment. Mr. Martin is considered armed and dangerous. Doherty Drive/ Lancaster Drive

The CSPD received numerous reports of shots being fired in neighborhoods near Astrozon and S. Chelton Rd. The reports indicated that two vehicles were exchanging gunfire as they traveled the area. Officers were directed to many different locations to include the area of Doherty Drive and Lancaster Drive, and the 2600 block of E. Fountain Boulevard.
At the Lancaster scene, officers located evidence that gunshots had been fired at the location. At the 2600 Block of Fountain Bv, officers found one of the suspect vehicles which contained an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male was taken to Memorial Hospital, where it was determined that his wounds were not life threatening.
Officers also located the second vehicle from the incident near N. Carefree Cir and Academy. Two parties were contacted with the vehicle and were questioned.
The investigation has resulted in the arrest of one adult male at this time. The suspect arrested is 19 year old Denzel Sanchez. Sanchez was charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and was booked into the El Paso County Jail.
