Title
5406 N. Nevada Ave
Location
On 10/25/13, Officers from Falcon Division were dispatched to 5406 N. Nevada Ave, apartment 205, to assist a domestic violence victim and her assigned victim advocates in obtaining the victim’s personal property. While at the apartment, the victim’s roommate, not associated with the domestic disturbance, became upset with the officers on scene helping the victim and made threats to get a gun and shoot them if they did not leave the premises.

When the officers left, the suspect, David Beale called the Falcon substation and Police dispatch and stated that he was going to get a rifle and shoot officers if they didn’t leave the area. Beale then confronted one of the officers from the call who was parked in the Costco parking lot away from the complex and told him he was lucky he was alive. Beale was on the phone with police dispatchers during the confrontation and said he was “going to a friend’s house to get a rifle and the officers are not safe” and “it will be harmful, dangerous and unpleasant for the officers.”

Beale was arrested without incident a short distance away and booked into CJC on felony charges.

Title
1703 South Nevada Avenue
Location
At 1458 hrs., the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified of a possible stolen vehicle that was in the parking lot of the Travel Star Inn, located at 1703 South Nevada Avenue. The stolen vehicle was described as a Gray Subaru Impreza.

As officers were arriving in the area officers observed the vehicle moving southbound on Nevada Avenue before turning onto the southbound on-ramp to I-25.

Officers initiated a traffic stop when the suspect vehicle sped up and attempted to elude the officers.

The officers followed the vehicle southbound on I-25 till it turned off on Mesa Ridge Parkway where the pursuit was ended due to speeds and traffic conditions.

The suspect vehicle stopped long enough for a passenger to exit the vehicle and that passenger was immediately contacted by Fountain Police Officers who were in the area handling another crash.

The passenger was found to be wanted on an unrelated warrant and was booked into CJC on that warrant.

Officers are following up on information that may lead to the driver of the stolen vehicle.

Officers are still attempting to locate the stolen 2005 Subaru Impreza that displayed a stolen license plate of 752-VWY.
