Mr. O'Donnell was located and his welfare has been checked


At approximately 1325hrs, the Colorado Springs Police Department Communication Center received a call from a family member of a missing elderly male. The missing person has been identified as Rory O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell was last seen sitting on the porch in front of his residence at approximately 12:00pm. Mr. O'Donnell suffers from dementia.

Mr. O'Donnell is a 81 year old white male, with gray hair and bald on the top of his head, long white beard,5'4" to 5'5", approximately 200lbs, wears prescription glasses. He was last seen wearing dark color long sleeve shirt, dark color pants, and straw hat. Mr. O'Donnell will also being using a metal cane.

At approximately 1543 hours, on 02/07/2015, officers were dispatched to the exit ramp of northbound I-25 and Garden of the Gods Road for a four vehicle traffic accident. The entire northbound exit ramp from I-25 at Garden of the Gods Road is closed at this time. Also, the eastbound through lane of Garden of the Gods Road is closed at this time. It is unknown when traffic lanes will be re-opened.

On 02/06/15 at approximately 0747 hours, Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Departmentís Gold Hill Division were dispatched to the intersection of N. Wahsatch Ave. and E. Platte Ave. to investigate a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that on this date, a 17 year old Palmer High School student was crossing E. Platte Ave. northbound in the crosswalk, with the right of way, when he was struck by a vehicle that was making a left turn from southbound N. Wahsatch Ave. to eastbound E. Platte Ave. The driver remained on scene and rendered aid until medical professionals arrived on scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The driver, L D Hunton (a 67 year old resident of Colorado Springs), was served and released for Careless Driving.

At about 10:18PM a green Toyota stalled in the southbound center lane of Powers Blvd. just north of the traffic light at N. Carefree. The driver put on the flashers and was attempting to start the vehicle again when a silver Lexus, who was also southbound on Powers at the speed limit, did not see the Toyota in time to avoid a collision. Both occupants of the Toyota were transported to a local medical facility for treatment. The intersection was closed/rerouted for just over two hours during the investigation. There are no charges at this time. Alcohol is not suspected in the accident.

On 02/05/15, at about 2041 hours, officers from the Falcon Division were dispatched to 6740 N. Academy Blvd., the Conoco, to investigate a robbery.

Upon arrival officers found the robbery actually occurred at about 2011 hours. The suspect is an unknown race male armed with a knife. The suspect was dressed in dark clothing and was over six feet tall with a thin build.

1300 block Saratoga Dr

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Saratoga Dr. after witnesses observed two juvenile males enter the backyard of a residence. When officers arrived on scene the two males fled from the house, jumped over a fence where a short foot pursuit ensued. Officer Watson directed officers into the area while he chased the males. K9 Officer John Ford and Officer Blackburn located the suspects near Chelton and Shenandoah Dr. Investigation revealed that the suspects forced entry into the residence and left quickly once officers arrived. There was property scattered through out the house. A 13 year old male was released to his parents and charged with the burglary. A 14 year old male was charged with the burglary. He also had two felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants and was taken to Spring Creek.

Delta Dr. at Whitewood Drive
Location
On 02/05/15 at 1842 hours the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified of a traffic accident in the area of Whitewood Drive and Delta Drive. The investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Peter Wood, age 47 was traveling south on Delta Drive approaching Whitewood Drive when he veered off the roadway, ran over a bus bench before crashing through the wood security fence on the west side of the El Morro Mobile Home Estates.

The driver then struck a parked vehicle in the trailer park, as well as an AMR ambulance (who was on scene for the original accident)before fleeing the scene. The driver continued to drive through the trailer park where he later struck a tree and bush on the north side of the trailer park.

The suspect was caught while trying to hide behind a dumpster after Officer Watson saw him walking away from his vehicle on the north end of the trailer park. The investigation further revealed that alcohol and /or drugs were not a factor. The driver was cited for careless driving, reckless driving and hit and run traffic offenses.
The driver was treated for minor injuries.

On 02-04-15, at 2:19PM, CSPD received a report of an attempted robbery which had just occurred in the drive-through of the Wells Fargo Bank, Platte and Circle. The victim had just made a deposit at the commercial drop and was confronted by the robber, described as a black male, around 6' tall, slim build, wearing dark clothing, with the lower part of his face covered with a winter type mask. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. After being told repeatedly the victim had no money, the suspect fled on foot. No one was harmed during the attempted robbery. CSPD is continuing to follow various leads.

The 21 year old suspect contacted the victim via social media and through a series of texts requested the victim to sneak out of her home to have sex with him; even though the suspect was told that the victim was only 14 years old. The victim's mother contacted the CSPD Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, and gave the ICAC detectives control of the messaging account. The texting continued and the suspect asked the victim to send naked photos of herself and meet him for sex. It was agreed that the suspect would meet the victim for sex at a location on North Nevada Avenue, and when the suspect arrived at the location he was arrested without incident.

On 02-03-15 officers of the Colorado Springs Police Dept. Falcon Div., responded to 8155 N. Academy Blvd, The Drury Inn, regarding suspicious circumstances. The manager reported observing several items in a room that looked consistent with fake IDís and checks. Officers later obtained enough information for a search warrant. Following the execution of the search warrant, two individuals were found inside the room. They were later identified as the arrestees Chayley Tolin, 21yoa and Jason Spivack, 44yoa. Arrest warrants were later located for both parties on unrelated charges. After a thorough search, several items related to identity theft and forgery were located inside the hotel room. This investigation is ongoing with additional victims forthcoming.
