On Tuesday, 10-29-2013, at approximately 10:10PM, officers of the Sand Creek Division responded to the 1400 block of Ride Lane to investigate a disturbance.

Investigation of the disturbance revealed two females arrived at a residence in this area and, after brandishing a firearm, assaulted an adult female in her residence. Property was taken from the victim, who sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

Investigation is continuing.

2900 Block of Reuben Drive
Location
Officers from the Stetson Hills Division responded to the 2900 block of Reuben Drive to investigate an Identity Theft case. Prior to arrival, officers obtained a search warrant for the residence and an arrest warrant for the suspect.

Officers arrived on scene and were allowed in by the home owner. Officers were able to identify the suspect, Annette Johnson, inside the home. Ms. Johnson was arrested with an arrest warrant and transported to CJC.

Officers collected several items of evidence inside the home related to the search warrant.

The investigation is continuing.

On 10/29/2013, at approximately 1959 hours, officers were dispatched to the Entertainmart business to investigate a robbery with a weapon. At approximately 1952 hours, a male asked the sales associate to see a cellular telephone stored inside of a sales case. When the associate removed the phone and handed it to the male, the male demanded two more similar telephones as he pulled up his hoody to reveal a gun inside his waistband. The associate retrieved two additional phones from the case, and the male grabbed the phones and ran from the store.

Surveillance video showed the male running to a bluish colored SUV or minivan with a luggage rack on the top of the vehicle. Surveillance video showed the suspect entering the store minutes before the robbery with a second male.

The main suspect was described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years of age, blond hair and blue eyes wearing an orange and blue baseball cap, blue hoodie, black pants and white shoes. The male was armed with a silver semi-auto handgun with a black handle.

The second suspect, believed to be driving the suspect vehicle, was a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, possibly with a ponytail or long tail in the back of his hair, wearing a white scarf, gray hooded jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black and white colored basketball shoes.

The Metro 40's Street Impact Team concluded an investigation into the unlawful distribution of suspected synthetic cannabanoids (SPICE) which were being sold from the B Street Smoke Shop.

After conducting multiple undercover purchases of suspected synthetic cannabanoids from one of the employees, a search warrant was obtained for the business.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed the searche warrant, which led to the seizure of 69.28 grams of suspected synthetic cannabanoids and $578 in US currency.

The staff member who had been selling the suspected synthetic cannabanoids, Cynthia Sinclair (56 yrs old), was booked into CJC on Felony charges. Additional arrest(s) are possible, pending a review of the case by the District Attorney's Office.

On Monday October 28th 2013 approx 4:34 a.m., Colorado Springs Police Dept. Sand Creek Officer C. McEvoy observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Galley Rd. and Circle Dr. Officer McEvoy ran the license plate of the vehicle and it came back as a stolen vehicle. Officer McEvoy followed the vehicle to the area of 3300 Santa Rosa St. Officer McEvoy requested cover units prior to initiating a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle pulled into a driveway in the 3300 blk of Santa Rosa St. Officer McEvoy conducted a high risk stop on the vehicle’s occupants while cover units arrived. Once cover units arrived, both occupants were removed from the vehicle without incident. During the course of the investigation, the driver later identified as Mark Dillie, was found to be carrying a stolen handgun. During the inventory search of the vehicle, a large quantity of narcotics was recovered from inside the vehicle. A baggie containing approx. 57 grams of suspected cocaine was found in the vehicle. The approx street value is $6270.00; along with 1.2g of suspected methamphetamine (approx value $132.00). Mr. Dillie was arrested for the stolen handgun and illicit narcotics along with numerous other related charges.

On Sunday, 10-27-2013, at 9:19PM, Officer Andrew Marshall responded to a disturbance in the 4000 block of Lacy Lane.

Officer Marshall learned a 54-year-old male sustained injuries during an altercation with his son, 19-year-old Terrance Michael Sexton. As a result of the investigation, Officer Marshall developed probable cause to arrest Terrance Sexton for felony criminal charges, including Second Degree Assault. At that time, Terrance Sexton's location was unknown.

On Monday, 10-28-2013, at approximately 11:00PM, Officer Marshall and Officer Rebecca Arndt obtained information on a possible location for Terrance Sexton. As a result of their follow-up investigation, Terrance Sexton was taken into custody without incident in the 4000 block of Galley Road.

On the above date and time, Sand Creek officers were dispatched to the Burger King Restaurant at 2730 S. Academy Blvd. in regard to a robbery with a weapon. The suspect entered the business holding a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The victims complied and the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male in his late 20's, approx. 6'2", approx. 220lbs, with light blue eyes. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, baggy black pants and a black bandana over his face. No one was injured during this incident. Officers developed several leads, and the investigation is continuing.

On 10/28/13 at about 11:18 AM, a City Code Enforcement employee was driving his city vehicle west on Fillmore St approaching Nevada Ave. He stopped his vehicle because traffic was backed up at the light. He then was struck from behind by a blue Toyota passenger van which failed to stop in time.

No injuries were reported in the crash. The van had extensive damage to the front end. The city vehicle had moderate damage to the back end. The van was towed from the scene. City Safety and the Duty Lieutenant were notified.

On 10/27/2013, Officers were dispatched to an address in the 900 block of Mount Blanc View reference a domestic disturbance. During their investigation, Officers developed probable cause for the arrest of John Fleming for domestic violence related 3rd degree assault, harassment and criminal mischief. Officers located Mr. Fleming at his place of business in Fountain Colorado, however Mr. Fleming refused to exit the building when directed to do so. Officer Pressel received an arrest warrant for Mr. Fleming and a search warrant for the business where he was hiding. With the assistance of Officers from the Fountain Police Department, CSPD executed the search warrant and took Mr. Fleming into custody without incident. Mr. Fleming was transported and booked into CJC.
