On Sunday, May 08, 2016, at about 12:37PM, Officers of the Sand Creek Division of the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the 2100 Block of Delta Drive in regards to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers located a 20 year old female who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital where she is currently being treated for her injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. The Colorado Springs Police Departmentís Domestic Violence Unit and Felony Assault Unit responded to conduct an investigation into the shooting and it was discovered that the victim had been shot by her Fiancť, 28 year old Tywaun Deeds. Mr. Deeds was taken into custody and will be booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on the charge of Attempted Murder.

On 05/08/2016 at approximately 1847 hours, officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Concord St in regards to a stabbing. Upon arrival officers located the male party identified as Dana Rose, 35 years of age in front of the residence lying on the sidewalk with four stab wounds on his back. The male party told officers he was at a friendís home and while leaving the friends home he fell back on top of rocks which caused the puncture wounds. The male party could not provide officers a location where the incident took place or the name of the friend he was with. The male party was transported to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

On 05/08/16, a Dominoís Pizza driver was making a delivery in the 2000 block of Southgate Rd. After exiting his vehicle, he was contacted by a suspect who he described as a black male, 5í-10Ē tall, heavy build, and wearing a blue bandana over his face. The victim stated the suspect was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and pointed the pistol at him. The suspect then demanded the victim give him his money. The victim gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash from his pocket.

After obtaining the victimís money, the suspect told the victim to walk away. The victim did so and then ran to a nearby drug store where he later called the police. The suspect was not located or identified.

On 04/06/16 Officers of the Stetson Hills IMPACT Team in collaboration with members of the US Postal Inspectors, and Financial Crimes Unit, began a month long investigation into theft of mail, identity theft, and manipulation of financial accounts. As a result of the investigation over 100 potential victims were identified, arrests were made in 13 new felony cases, 7 felony warrants were cleared, and 6 search warrants were executed.

The investigation spanned El Paso, Teller, Douglas, Elbert and Arapahoe counties. Activity included printing fraudulent checks, printing false Colorado Identification cards, theft of mail from community and individual mailboxes, burglary, and distribution of methamphetamine.

On May 7, 2016 at 9:07AM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the 20 block of East Ramona Avenue in regards to an urgent assist. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a deceased male in a vehicle which was parked on the street. The male had traumatic injuries and the death is considered suspicious.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded and are in the early stages of their investigation.

On the above date and time the adult, female victim had finished a jog and was walking in the area of S. Murray Blvd. and Dewey Drive when she was approached by a male in a newer model light blue sedan with Oklahoma license plates. The male exited the car and began to follow the victim making sexual comments. She declined his advances and attempted to walk away when he made unlawful sexual contact with her. She confronted and chased the suspect. The suspect entered the driverís seat of the car and the victim confronted him at the passenger window and he grabbed her hair and drove away with her partially in the car. The suspect drove two blocks and then the victim was able to pull away from the car. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid to late twenties. The Adult Sex Crimes Unit was contacted and briefed on the investigation.

On Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 3:33 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a 911 call from a hiker in the Blodgett Open Space. The hiker reported he observed a deceased individual near one of the hiking trails.

Falcon Division Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation in conjunction with a Violent Crimes Detective and the El Paso County Coroner's Office. At this time, there are no indications of foul play surrounding the death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
