Title
Half Turn Rd/N Academy Bl
Location
On 11/21/14 at approximately 2156hrs, Officers Brad Krause and Scott Ferguson were working as a two-man unit in the Stetson Hills Patrol Division. Officers observed a vehicle that was speeding and failed to signal. On contact with the vehicle, they observed that the two occupants appeared nervous. They separated the two and conducted interviews that initially revealed conflicting info, but on further questioning revealed there was a gun and some Heroin in the vehicle.

This led to contacting additional subjects and obtaining permission to search other locations, including a storage unit where 7 additional stolen firearms were recovered.

The case investigation covered three days and resulted in 3 Felony arrests, the recovery of 8 stolen firearms, 3 of which had been defaced. The investigation is continuing and the firearms have been linked to other crimes in both Colorado Springs and El Paso County.

Due to the sensitivity of the continuing investigation, the names of the suspects are not being released at this time.
