Title
1000 Valkenburg Drive
Location
On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, detectives from the Metro Vice, Narcotics, & Intelligence Division (MVNI) along with a member of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department Rural Enforcement & Outreach unit executed a search warrant in the 2100 block of Reminiscent Circle in Fountain, CO. This search warrant was executed by the Fountain Police Department Rapid Response Team.

During a search of that residence, investigators discovered information that led them to another address in the area of 1000 Valkenburg Drive, which is located within the City of Colorado Springs, CO. Upon arrival on Valkenburg Drive, investigators contacted numerous parties at the residence. Based on their observations, investigators established enough probable cause to seek a search warrant for the residence.

During the search of the residence, investigators discovered two fully functional grow operations in both the garage and in the basement. Investigators discovered and seized 146 pounds of marijuana product which was being dried in the basement. Investigators also found 66 vegetative marijuana plants growing in a grow room in the basement.

A male party was taken into custody at the Valkenburg location and charged with felony cultivation and felony distribution. He was later booked into CJC on the above listed charges.
