Traffic Crash - Fatality
Title
N. Wahsatch Ave. / E. Bijou St.
Location
On Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at approximately 1:00 PM, officers of the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the intersection of E. Bijou St. and N. Wahsatch Ave. in regard to a traffic accident.

Upon arrival officers found that a vehicle pulling a trailer travelling southbound on N. Wahsatch Ave. turned left onto eastbound E. Bijou St. in front of a motorcycle being driven by 68 year old Michael White which was travelling northbound on N. Wahsatch Ave. Mr. White attempted to avoid a collision by laying his bike down and this resulted in Mr. White suffering a serious injury. The Major Accident Unit responded to the scene to conduct an investigation into this matter.

On Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 Mr. White succumbed to the injuries he suffered during this incident. Mr. White was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The investigation is continuing
