On 01/25/2014 Sand Creek Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Deerfield Hills Rd. to a reported disturbance. When Officers arrived they located an adult male with lacerations to his head and face. The on scene investigation revealed a physical altercation had occurred between that male and another male party who had left the scene prior to police arrival. K-9 Officer Donovan located the suspect vehicle a short time later, and occupants in the vehicle, to include the suspect, were detained. Medical treatment revealed the victim suffered a fractured skull during the physical altercation. The adult male suspect was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for 2nd Degree Assault. One additional adult male was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

700 block Skyline Avenue.
Location
On 01/224/14 at approximately 2100hrs, Officer T. White was dispatched to the 700 block of Skyline Ave. reference a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, she was informed by the victim that their 14 year old son had stolen their 2003 H2 Hummer. At approximately 2320hrs, Officer White observed the stolen vehicle travelling westbound at Manitou and Monument. Officer White initiated a traffic stop; however the vehicle attempted to flee from her. Officer White followed the vehicle for a short distance, and then based upon safety factors she terminated the pursuit. A short time later, Officer White located the vehicle crashed into the rear of a parked car in the area of 17th and Manitou. The driver fled on foot; however his two juvenile passengers were detained, cleared medically and released to their parents.
Through additional investigation, Officer White located a possible nearby residence where the driver might be hiding. She and Officer Glenn made contact with the driver/suspect at the address in the 1700 block of west Kiowa, and took him into custody without incident.

On the above date and time CSPD received a report that three men broke into an apartment in the 1800 block of Monterey Road. Once inside the suspects ransacked the apartment and one of the males sexually assaulted the lone female occupant of the apartment. The suspects all wore masks and were dressed in dark clothing. One suspect was approximately five foot three. There are no further descriptions available at this time for the suspects. The Adult Sexual Assault Unit responded to assist with the investigation. At this point there have not been any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

3800 Glenmeadow Drive (Chey Meadows Park)
Location
Officers were called to investigate a stabbing that occurred in Cheyenne Meadows Park at the pavillion. The investigation found that a juvenile male was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of teens, when the suspect male produced a large knife. The victim was stabbed in the abdomen area causing serious bodily injury. He was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was in surgery as of this report. He is listed as serious but stable condition at this time. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 15 to 16 years old, wearing a black hoodie and black pants. Officers are interviewing numerous witnesses, the suspect has not been identified at this time, and his whereabouts are unknown. Investigation is continuing.
**UPDATE: THE SUSPECT, A JUVENILE MALE, HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. HE IS CURRENTLY AT-LARGE. OFFICERS HAVE ESTABLISHED PROBABLE CAUSE AND WILL SEEK AN ARREST WARRANT FOR THE SUSPECT. THE SUSPECT'S IDENTITY IS NOT BEING RELEASED AT THIS TIME.

On Friday, 01-24-2013 at approximately 6:42AM, Stetson Hills Division officers responded to the intersection of N. Union Blvd. and Templeton Gap Rd. to investigate a traffic collision.

As a result of the collision, traffic on southbound N. Union Blvd. is significantly delayed. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes that avoid this intersection, as the length of the delay is not known at this time.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Astrozon Bl and Academy Bl on a three car traffic accident. At this time, the crash is currently being investigated and there are road closures.

Northbound Academy Blvd at Hancock Blvd is completely shut-down.

Southbound Academy Blvd at Astrozon Blvd there are no left turns onto eastbound Astrozon Blvd.

Eastbound traffic on Astrozon approaching Academy, there is no "through lanes" open, drivers can only go south bound or north bound on Academy.

Westbound traffic on Astrozon approaching Academy, drivers can not make a left turn to go southbound on Academy.

(Most of the accident scene is located in the northbound lanes of Academy Blvd on the southeast side of the roadway)

Due to more vehicles being out on the roadway because of the Christmas Holiday season, this area has become extremely congested with traffic. CSPD is requesting drivers find an alternate route at this time. It is unknown how long the intersection will be shut down.

Investigation Update: The Major Accident team responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. The investigation shows that vehicle #1, A PT Cruiser was southbound on Academy Blvd. approaching Astrozon. The traffic signal for southbound changed to red and a the east bound Astrozon light turned green. A green Dodge Dakota truck began to travel east on Astrozon and was struck by the PT Cruiser which failed to stop for the red light. The Green truck was subsequently pushed into a white Ford truck which was stopped for the light on north bound Academy. A 6 year old passenger in the PT Cruiser sustained injury and was transported from the scene to a local hospital. The driver of the PT Cruiser, Identified as Brenda Hurt, a 22 year old female and aunt to the injured child. Alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in the accident. Charges are pending further investigation
