969 Tampico Court
Location
On 04-26-14 at approximately 1720 hours, the Creek Enforcement Team (CET) Officers located a stolen vehicle in the area of the 900 block of Tampico Court and set up surveillance on the vehicle. At approximately 1807 hours, the CET Officers observed two possible suspects get into the vehicle and immediately walked up attempting to contact the suspects before they could leave in the vehicle. The suspects ignored officer's orders and left in the vehicle, last seen eastbound on Afternoon Circle. CET officers went back to their vehicles while airing the direction of travel of the stolen vehicle. As other officers were arriving in the area the suspect drove past an officer on Afternoon Circle approaching South Chelton Road. The officer turned his cruiser around on Afternoon Circle and as he approached South Chelton Road, found the suspect vehicle had crashed into another vehicle that had just turned onto Afternoon Circle from South Chelton Road. The Officer was able to immediately take the passenger from the stolen vehicle into custody as the driver left running westbound. Additional units scoured the area and located the driver in a nearby apartment complex and who was taken into custody without further incident. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver had also attempted to carjack the vehicle he crashed into before running towards the apartment complex. Arrested were the driver, Richard Davis (40) for Motor Vehicle Theft, Narcotics, and Identity Theft, and the passenger, Michelle Decoteau (28) for Narcotics and Identity Theft. Additional charges are pending. The driver of the second vehicle was treated on scene for minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.
