Officer Doll clocked a northbound 2007 Subaru going 61 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. The vehicle had just crashed after turning in front of a tractor trailer truck which was going eastbound on Allegheny Dr from Castle Concrete. After impact the Subaru was flipped onto its side and struck a utility street light pole on the southeast corner of the intersection.

After the crash the driver of the Subaru ran southbound on foot. The driver entered Fire Station #18 through the front door, ran down a hallway and exited out the rear door of the building. Officer Doll then located him hiding near a town home complex on Alpine Shadows View just north of the Fire Station #18. The driver 27 year old John Krulik, was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for minor injuries sustained from the traffic accident.
