Title
Pine Creek High School
Location
On February 27, 2018, the Colorado Springs Police Department initiated an investigation after receiving reports that a female teacher at Pine Creek High School may possibly have been engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a male student who attends the school.

The investigation was assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit. During the course of the investigation, detectives developed information indicating that a male student may have had inappropriate physical contact with several other male and female juvenile students at the school. Although connected to the initial investigation, a separate investigation was initiated for these allegations. As a result of these simultaneous investigative efforts, detectives determined the contact between the student and the teacher did not rise to the level of a criminal violation and that investigation has now been closed as unfounded.

The investigation into the male student’s alleged sexual contact with other students culminated with the 18 year old male student being arrested without incident on April 24, 2018, for the charges of Sexual Assault, Unlawful Sexual Contact, and Harassment. Because this student was under the age of 18 at the time some of the alleged crimes occurred, no further identifying information will be released at this time. The suspect was transported to the Criminal Justice Center to post bond on the above violations.

Anyone with information or is a witness to this investigation is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000; or if you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (719) 634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477.

Falcon Division
Location
The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a series of smash and grab type business burglaries. Detectives have found several across the Falcon Division that fit this pattern, seven in total to date. The suspects are targeting small businesses and restaurants, either prying the door open or breaking the glass on the door to make entry and then target the cash registers or safes before making a quick exit. Video surveillance has captured up to three suspects in these cases. In each case, the suspects wear clothing to mask their identity. Detectives captured a suspect vehicle, a Jeep Patriot possibly silver in color, in one of the images at Joey’s Pizza. Please follow Twitter for surveillance images.
