Burglary
Title
7425 N. Academy Blvd
Location
Beginning in May of this year, the StIC Investigations Team assumed the investigation of a citywide burglary pattern involving the burglary of commercial businesses where the suspects would enter and steal cash from cash drawers and / or safes. Since March of this year, approximately 127 burglaries have been attributed to this group. Working with CSPD crime analysts, suspects were identified. The first suspect, Rayvaughn Milne, age 24, was arrested on May 25 on an arrest warrant. The investigation continued as did the pattern. In late July, investigators identified a possible suspect vehicle. Subsequent investigation also identified the second of three suspects. Analysts, utilizing various analytical tools, predicted potential times and general locations of the next burglary. Investigators, utilizing this information, established surveillance on the suspect. On August 2, at approximately 3:30AM, investigators observed the suspect break the front window of the Buffalo Wild Wings, 7425 N. Academy Blvd. and enter the business. After the suspect was unable to get to the safe, he left out the rear door and returned to his vehicle which was parked in an adjacent neighborhood where officers took him into custody. He is identified as Devin Scott, age 26. The third identified suspect is a 17 year old juvenile who is currently in custody on unrelated charges. The investigation continues and more arrests are possible.

Title
3900 E. Bijou St.
Location
On Thursday, August 02, 2018 the CSPD Fugitive Unit made efforts to locate a suspect who was wanted for DV related stalking charges. The Fugitive Unit located the suspect in the 3900 block of E. Bijou St. The suspect was with an adult female acquaintance and her three year old child. Upon contact the suspect used the three year old child and then the mother to physically shield himself from Detectives, and forcefully made his way back to the residence he had been hiding in. Members from the Tactical Enforcement Unit responded to assist. Open air communication was established with the suspect as a perimeter was established. The suspect failed to comply with lawful orders to surrender. The suspect refused to release the female acquaintance and attempted to escape the perimeter. The Tactical Enforcement Unit utilized a distraction device, a taser deployment and K-9 contact to bring the suspect into custody. The female acquaintance and her three year old child were not injured during the occurrence. The suspect, identified as 34 year old Lawrence Johnson, was arrested for the DV related stalking warrant, two unrelated warrants, and two counts of Kidnapping for his actions against his acquaintance and her child.
