Title
2100 Blk Silver Creek Drive
Location
At approximately 6:00AM a neighbor in the 2100 block of Silver Creek Drive awoke to find several cows in her front lawn and eating her plants. The neighborhood, in the north part of Colorado Springs, is adjacent to a large field where a herd of cattle is kept. From the herd, seven cows, of various ages, escaped their pasture and were roaming the neighborhood and grazing. Because of the younger cows this small loose herd would become startled when approached and would begin to run, or stampede. Officers, with no 4-H experience, were able to shoo the cows to the dead end of the street and lower the fence so that they could return to their field. No cows were injured during the cattle drive. Classic Homes, who has the field, is working to secure the fence.
