On 04/13/2016, Officers from the Stetson Hills Division responded to a burglary alarm at a partially constructed commercial building in the 2800 block of Vickers Drive. Officers quickly established containment after finding a nearby suspect vehicle and an open door at the business. Officers located and arrested Brandie Pannell, a 36 year old female on the property after searching for approximately one hour. Approximately three hours later, construction workers and officers observed a male running from the building that matched the description Pannell provided of her accomplice. This male was caught after a foot pursuit and identified as David Bailon, a 33 year old male.
In furtherance of this investigation, officers were able to recover stolen property from six additional victim vehicles that Bailon and Pannell unlawfully entered on this same evening.

Location
Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Gina Drive a report of multiple vehicles that had been damaged. When they arrived officers discovered that several vehicles and a couple of residences had been spray painted/tagged overnight. Additional vehicles had windows broken out. More vehicles with damage were found in the 2500 block of Nadine Drive.

There were approximately 20 vehicles that had been damaged between the two streets. No suspects were located.

On the above date and time officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near Dublin Park. Officers made contact with a male party that was sleeping in the vehicle and they observed a black handgun on the floor. Further investigation revealed the gun was a toy, although it looked very real. Officers also observed apparent drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed several drug paraphernalia items and 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The male party was subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance. The suspect is identified as 41 year old Colorado Springs resident Jeremy Brambila.

UPDATE: The driver in the fatal traffic accident has been identified as John Holdren Jr., a 64 year old male from Colorado Springs. Mr. Holden’s cause of death was from multiple blunt force injuries. Speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this single vehicle accident.


On the above date and time, dispatch was notified of a vehicle vs building traffic accident. Upon arrival, the initial information was the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle and deceased on the scene. Initial investigation showed the vehicle lost control and impacted the building causing significant damage to the building. Residents were in the building but able to exit without incident. No residents were injured in the building. The drivers name will be released after notifications are made. Deceased driver is 64 yo male.

On the above date and time, a vehicle was seen going at high speeds thru a school zone. The vehicle then continued at high speeds from the area. The Officer initiated a traffic stop after catching up with the vehicle near Arcadia/ Fillmore. The vehicle failed to stop and after committing several hit and run traffic accidents, eventually stopped and fled on foot near 4th Street and Century Drive. A short foot pursuit ensued and the driver was placed in custody without further incident.

On Wednesday, April 6, a school resource officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department was informed by school staff of a possible exchange of a partially nude picture of a juvenile among students at Pine Creek High School and Challenger Middle School. The officer initiated an investigation. The investigation showed that a single image was exchanged among five students without coercion. The investigation has been referred to the El Paso County District Attorneys’ Office.

On the above date and time, CSPD Officers were dispatched to a family disturbance involving a knife in the 2500 block of King Street. Upon arrival, officers detained a juvenile male and recovered a knife. The investigation revealed that the disturbance was between the juvenile and his mother. During the altercation the mother sustained a significant cut to her arm. She was treated at a local hospital and later released. The juvenile male was taken into custody and later transported to the Spring Creek Juvenile Detention Center on charges of Second Degree Assault and Menacing.

Gold Hill units were dispatched to a shooting in front of Honeywell at 1110 Bayfield Drive. Upon arrival officers discovered a 36 year old female had been shot in the upper leg with a shotgun. The female knew her attacker and identified him as 38 year old Joe Montgomery. Investigation revealed that suspect had returned to his nearby residence and left with additional firearms. Officers held the house for a search warrant. At approximately 2135 hours the suspect returned home while officers were on scene and was taken into custody without incident. During the search warrant the shotgun was recovered from the suspect’s residence. The victim’s injuries were serious but not life threatening. Mr. Montgomery was booked on charges of attempted murder.

On 04/09/2016 at 5:10 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service of a roll over traffic accident on Milton E. Proby Pkwy., west of Hancock Expy.

A silver sedan and a maroon sport utility vehicle were involved in an accident and the maroon sport utility vehicle rolled and landed on its top. One person was ejected from the maroon sport utility vehicle and sustained serious injuries. A total of six individuals were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The maroon sport utility vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle.

The Colorado Springs Police Department's Major Accident Unit responded to assist with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing at this time and further information regarding the extent of injuries and identities of all involved parties is being ascertained.

Westbound Milton E. Proby Pkwy from Hancock Expressway was closed during the investigation and is now re-open.

4000 Block of Austin Bluffs Parkway

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, at approximately 2:10PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service stating that a white male had forced a white female into a vehicle and fled the area. This occurred in the 4000 Block of Austin Bluffs Parkway.

The vehicle was described as a Gold colored Acura MDX with a possible partial Colorado Plate of “QEO”.

The male suspect is a white male, believed to be in his mid-50’s, who has gray hair pulled into a ponytail, wearing a gray AERO t-shirt and blue jeans.

The female victim is described as white female, late teens to early 20s in age, wearing black pants and a red hooded sweatshirt and having blonde hair.

Per a witness on scene, the female was in the vehicle when it drove away.

Investigating officers recovered video surveillance from the scene. The white male can be seen forcing the female into the vehicle. CSPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the possible suspect and victim in order to check the welfare of both parties to ensure there is no foul play.
