Title
citywide
Location
A six month crime pattern came to a halt on December 1, 2014. Since the beginning of July, 2014 two suspects have been visiting Apartment Offices and Mobile Home Park Offices around the first of every month. The suspects accessed the rent payment drop boxes, stealing money orders, and personal checks. The money orders were then cashed by the suspects. Value lost by the victims so far is in excess of $11,000. Detectives began working leads and found the suspects and vehicle being used in the crime pattern. On the evening of 11/30/14 and the morning of 12/01/14 these detectives followed the two suspects while they traveled to 22 different locations within the city as they once again committed these burglaries. Just after midnight the officers stopped the suspect vehicle and apprehended the two suspects along with the stolen money orders. These money orders were returned the next day to the victims so that their rent could be paid on time.
