On the above date and time officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to the above address to investigate a report of a disturbance. The investigation revealed the male suspect had punched a window of a residence in the area causing damage to the window. This act also caused a substantial laceration to the suspect’s arm. The suspect became involved in a physical disturbance with several individuals who were not present when officers arrived. The suspect was not contacted at that time either by members of the police department.
The suspect later began knocking on doors on Poughkeepsie Drive (approximately 9:00 p.m.) asking people for help and stating he had been stabbed. Officers then responded to the reported “stabbing” and located the suspect. The suspect was given medical treatment and was arrested for Criminal Mischief from the earlier call for service.

Drennan Road/Springnite Drive

On 06/10/2016 at approximately 0920hrs, Officers were dispatched to the area of Drennan Road and Springnite Drive to investigate a male party carrying AR-15 rifle and pointing it a people. Also, there was additional information that a vehicle, in the same area, had been involved in an accident and it had struck a house.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was a passenger in a SUV. The driver of the SUV was looking for his friend's stolen Dodge Durango. The driver and the suspect saw the stolen Dodge travelling on Springnite Drive. The driver attempted to stop stolen vehicle by blocking the roadway with his SUV.

The suspect decided to exit the vehicle he was in and point a hand gun at the 4 occupants in the stolen vehicle.
The driver in the Dodge immediately put the vehicle into reverse and drove it over the curb and through a fence where it finally came to rest when it struck a house.

The driver in the stolen Dodge immediately exited the vehicle and ran. The suspect then grabbed a AR-15 rifle and ordered the two backseat passengers to get out of the stolen vehicle. The suspect then physically assaulted both people.

The suspect then saw a couple of utility workers in area watching him so he pointed the rifle at them and started walking towards them. As he was approaching the workers, he abruptly puts the rifle down and runs off.

The suspect was later apprehended by police and taken into custody.

On 6/10/16 at approximately 1:30 PM, Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) Officer Kelly and Downtown Area Response Team (DART) Officer Allen were on foot patrol along the Pike’s Peak Greenway Trail area near Las Vegas Street and S. Sierra Madre St. contacting members of the homeless community. During this, they located an unattended one month old infant crying in a stroller off of the trail in a wooded area but in direct sunlight. The officers also located an unresponsive adult male nearby who was later determined to be the infant’s father, Shawn McCullah . Medical personnel were summoned and evaluated the child and the adult male who did awaken a short time later. Neither the infant nor Mr. McCullah required additional medical attention. A Department of Human Services representative arrived on scene and took temporary custody of the child. Mr. McCullah was charged with child neglect and released on a summons to appear in court.

On June 8th, 2016, at approximately 4:08 PM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to a shooting incident in the parking lot of the Walgreen’s, located at 4305 E. Platte Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a 51 year old male victim inside the business. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound.

Critical witness information led to the identification of a suspect vehicle that was observed leaving the area immediately following the shooting. Officers were able to locate the vehicle approximately 30 minutes later.

Suspect Alfred Watson, age 34, was taken into custody and he has been charged with Second Degree Assault.

At the above date and time the Colorado Springs Police Department received a 911 call regarding a disturbance near the intersection of West Pike's Peak Avenue and 31st St.

The victim reported he had been involved in a verbal disturbance that had escalated to violence and the suspect, a 53 year old male, attempted to shoot him.

Officers responded and investigated ultimately developing probable cause to charge the suspect with multiple offenses including attempted first-degree assault and felony menacing as well as possession of a weapon by a previous offender

Officers were dispatched to the area of 00 University Drive regarding a physical disturbance between a male and female. Upon arrival, the reporting party pointed out the two parties involved in the disturbance and gave officers their names. Both parties were allegedly wanted on warrants. As Officer Price approached the two parties they fled on foot toward the creek and field east of University Dr. Officers set up a containment and combed the area. Officers were able to track down both parties and took them into custody without incident. The original disturbance was unfounded and both parties were taken to CJC on those warrants.

On 06/08/16 at approximately 0031 hours, an alert officer was approaching a convenience store in the 2800 block of E. Fountain Boulevard on foot. As the officer rounded the corner of the business, he came into contact with a masked suspect who was fleeing the store. The suspect was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Investigation revealed the suspect robbed the convenience store at gun point and took an undisclosed amount of money.
