On 06/25/2015 at approximately 1120 hours, DART Shift I Officers and the Gold Hill Impact Team responded to complaints regarding criminal activity occurring in Monument Valley Park, 00 block of Westview Place. Reported activity included narcotics and weapons violations. During the investigation, officers identified two individuals with active warrants and placed them into custody. Further investigation revealed one of the individuals, identified as Kevin Seitz (29) was in possession of methamphetamine, an illegal weapon and drug paraphernalia. Three additional individuals were cited with misdemeanor charges.

BIKE TO WORK DAY.... A CSPD employee observed a vehicle leaving the gas station at Cimarron and 8th Street around 11:00 am yesterday. The bicycle, which was on a rack on the back of the vehicle, bounced off and landed in the roadway. We would like to reunite the owner with their bike. 1300 Austin Bluffs Parkway

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway regarding a traffic accident where it was reported that a man was pinned in a manhole. All lanes of eastbound Austin Bluffs were closed east of Nevada Avenue for approximately two hours while the accident was investigated. The accident revealed that two workers were making repairs to the road and the right through lane of Austin Bluffs was closed for the construction. A pickup struck a work truck parked in the right lane to protect the workers, causing both trucks to slide into the two workers that were working on the manhole in the road. The two construction workers were transported to Memorial Hospital, no serious injuries were reported. The driver, Bradley Taylor, was transported to Penrose Main Hospital and was later cited for the accident and driving under the influence of alcohol.

On 06/24/15, at approximately 0207 hours, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service at the 4400 block of Beaumont Rd regarding a domestic disturbance involving a gun. Information was received that the female victim was screaming that the male was going to kill her. Officers arrived on scene an attempted contact at the front door however there was no response. Officers then heard a female screaming from inside the home and officers forced entry. Officers came in contact with the male suspect, Ron Cisco, who did not obey commands from police. Officers attempted to take the suspect into custody however he continued not to obey commands and was tased. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had choked the victim and chambered a round in a handgun and pointed it at her and threatened to shoot her. The female victim received minor injuries and two young children were not injured during the disturbance. A handgun was recovered from the home. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for injuries received when taken into custody.
Mr. Cisco was charged with Domestic Violence related 2nd Degree Assault, Felony Menacing, Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender and several other misdemeanor offenses.

On April 6, 2015, at 7:54 AM, officers from the Gold Hill Division of the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a deceased female at 1031 Adams Drive. The 51 year old victim was identified as Donna Mount of Colorado Springs. Due to the cause of death not being readily apparent at that time detectives from the Violent Crimes, Homicide Unit responded to assist with the investigation. Since that date an extensive follow-up investigation has been conducted in conjunction with the Office of the Coroner and the District Attorney’s Office. This investigation revealed that a roommate provided Donna Mount morphine while she was intoxicated. The ingestion of the morphine mixed with the alcohol resulted in her death.

On June 23, 2015, at approximately 3:30PM Detectives arrested Lee Keyser, a 67 year old male from Colorado Springs. Keyser was arrested for Manslaughter in connection with Donna Mount’s death in April.

This arrest statistically marks the 9th homicide in Colorado Springs this year. At this time last year there were 12 homicides.

On June 22, the Colorado Springs Police Department disseminated a still-frame picture obtained from video surveillance footage at Wells Fargo Bank, 1800 S. Nevada Avenue. The picture depicted a white male whose image was captured while he committed a robbery at that bank branch on June 16, shortly after 4PM. The still-shot went out to media outlets as well as on social media. Within a matter of hours, detectives were contacted by multiple callers, who identified the same person as the suspect - 23 year-old Jonathan Redfield of Colorado Springs. Detectives were able to susbstantiate the information and confirmed Redfield's involvement in the holdup.

On June 23, Mr. Redfield turned himself in to Robbery Detectives at the Police Operations Center. He was processed for booking and transported to the El Paso Criminal Justice Center. He faces a charge of Robbery, a Class 4 Felony.

Upon arrival, the CSFD had extinguished a small fire contained inside a single apartment. The occupants of the home had exited. The occupants left prior to police arrival. The investigation revealed that a small fire occurred as a result of a butane explosion in the apartment. The investigation is ongoing. No other apartments or occupants were affected. There was no structural damage done to the apartment building.

On 06/22/15, at approximately 0108 hours, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service regarding a robbery that just occurred at 2802 E Fountain BL, the business of 7-11. Officers arrived on scene and learned the suspect had left the business on foot. The clerk described the suspect as a black male, in his mid-30’s, wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, a tan cap and was armed with a handgun. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers checked the area however were unable to locate the suspect. There were no reported injuries.
