Title
7500 Julynn Rd
Location
CSPD responded to the 7500 block of Julynn Rd reference a traffic accident involving a four year old female. The investigation revealed the child was playing in and along the roadway when she ran into the street. She failed to look both ways and was struck by a small SUV driven by an 18 year old male. The little girl suffered multiple fractures and was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries and has since been released. The entire incident was captured by two surveillance cameras attached to a residence located directly across from where the accident occurred. After a review of the surveillance footage by CSPD Major Accident Unit the preliminary findings indicate the driver was within the speed limit of 25MPH at the time of the accident. No citations will be issued based on the investigative findings.

300 E. Fountain Boulevard
Location
Gold Hill Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of East Fountain Boulevard on a reported shooting call for service. The reporting party stated he was woken up by a gunshot and discovered his father had been shot. The emergency response from numerous CSPD units and medical personnel turned out to be a false report as none of the information could be corroborated. It appears this activity is a case of "SWATTING", where a prank emergency call is made to get an emergency response. The phones that these types of calls come from are usually untraceable, as was the phone in this case.

Title
I-25 South Bound at Mile Marker 145
Location
On 03/10/2017 at approximately 1046 hours officers were dispatched to the area of Galley Rd and Academy Blvd., in reference to a female getting in and out of her car blocking traffic as she was parked perpendicular to the traffic. The woman was in traffic with her pants down causing a scene. She then drove north on Academy in her small purple vehicle. Police dispatch received subsequent calls that the same female was now stopped in south bound traffic on academy running in and out of traffic kicking at vehicle as they passed by. She left the scene and was again spotted by citizenís at Uintah St at and Nevada Ave. She had her pants down mooning cars as they passed by.
After further calls Officers spotted the woman and her vehicle north on I-25 as she was exiting at Garden of the Gods Rd. She then exited her vehicle and pulled her pants down in the intersection. As Officer approached her she re-entered her vehicle and went through the red light traveling west on Garden of the Gods Rd. At North park St. she crossed over on to the East bound lanes of Garden of the Gods road still traveling west into oncoming traffic. Within a short distance she made a U-Turn now traveling west on Garden of the Gods Rd. She then got back onto I-25 South bound at about 35mph weaving in and out of traffic. Due to her hazardous driving the decision was made to using a boxing in maneuver to stop her vehicle. Using the four patrol cars that were behind her, officers were able to safely box her in and force her to slow down and subsequently stop in the center median just north of mille marker 145. She was then taken into custody. As she was being treated by medical personnel it was learned that she was suffering from a mental medical issue. She was transported to a local hospital.
