Title
995 N. Circle Drive (7-Eleven)
Location
On 07/27/14 at approximately 1141 hours, Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Sand Creek Division were dispatched to 995 N. Circle Drive (7-Eleven) to investigate a traffic accident involving one person being pinned in between a vehicle, a Toyota 4-Runner, and the building. The investigation revealed that on this date, the vehicle’s driver, a 22 year old resident of Colorado Springs, began experiencing mechanical issues associated with the vehicle while it was parked along the north side of the business. In an attempt to rectify the issue, the driver exited the car and began working under the hood. During this process, the mechanical issue was resolved and this caused the vehicle to move forward, trapping the driver in between the car and the building for approximately one minute at approximately his waist level. Several passerbys saw the accident and they stopped to assist the driver by pushing the vehicle off of him. Medical personnel responded to the scene and the driver was transported to an area hospital for what are initially believed to be minor, non-life threatening injuries. The damage to the vehicle and the building was very minor and almost unidentifiable. Given the circumstances of the accident, it is unlikely that charges will be filed.
