On 7-2-15 at approximately 0151 hours, Falcon officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Westmoreland for an unknown call for police. When officers arrived, they met the male who had called the police. He immediately became aggressive with the officers and failed to listen to their commands. The subject pulled away from one officer and began to fight with the other officers. During the altercation the suspect grabbed one of the officer’s PR-24 and brandished it in a threaten manner towards another officer. The male was eventually brought under control by the officers and was placed under arrest for Disarming a Peace Officer and Second Degree Assault on a Peace Officer among other charges.

On Thursday, 07-02-2015, at 12:40AM, the Colorado Springs Police Department was contacted by the Yuma County (CO) Sheriff's Office and advised Kiri McMillion and her 5-year-old daughter, Sidney Carlisle, had been located in Yuma County, Colorado.

Kiri McMillion was arrested on an outstanding warrant for kidnapping related to this investigation. Sidney Carlisle was located unharmed and will be reunited with family members.

The Colorado Springs Police Department extends sincere thanks to our law enforcement partners in and around Yuma County, Colorado, as their collaborative efforts with CSPD resulted in the location and recovery of a missing child.

No additional information will be released by the Colorado Springs Police Department at this time. Any future updates reference this investigation will be issued by the CSPD Public Information Office during business hours on 07-02-2015.

On Tuesday, 06/30/2015, officers were dispatched to Northstar Bank of Colorado located in the 3200 block of W. Colorado Av. to investigate a reported robbery. The investigation revealed that a lone male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled northbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as a thin white male in his late 30s, approximately 5'08" tall, 175 pounds, last seen wearing dark clothing. Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded to assume the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 21st, 2015, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a complaint of signs posted near a church in the 200 block of East Platte Av. These signs contained offensive comments. When officers made contact with the reporting party he indicated similar signs had been posted the previous weekend at the church.

Detectives with the Colorado Springs Police Department were able to identify the source of these signs. On June 30th, officers from the Downtown Area Response Team were notified of a male actively posting signs in the downtown area. They contacted 44 year old Colorado Springs resident Vincent Broughton, who was arrested for biased motivated crime, disorderly conduct, harassment, and littering. He was served and released on a summons to appear in court.

On 6/29/15 the victim contacted CSPD reporting a robbery that had occurred 10 to 15 minutes earlier. The victim said he was walking his bike across W Uintah St at 19th St when the suspect approached him.

The victim said the suspect demanded his bike. The victim did not want to give the suspect his bike so he offered him cash. The suspect again demanded the bike, threatening to shoot the victim. The victim gave the suspect his cash and rode away from the area. The victim returned home and called the police.

No weapon was seen. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a black male approximately 6' tall, 170 pounds, bald or balding hair, last seen wearing a large dark T shirt and dark baggie shorts.

Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the suspect.

Sunday, June 28, 2015, around 4:30 AM, the police department was notified of a disturbance that ultimately resulted in the stabbing injury to two persons. Investigation revealed a dispute erupted between two persons inside an apartment in which a knife was introduced and used in an attempt to stab the first victim in the chest. This initial assault did not cause any substantial injury to this victim, but the suspect, Donicio McQuilliams (22 year old male), then began to cut his own arm and chest. Although creating dramatic wounds, Mr. McQuilliams did not sustain any life-threatening injuries. A third person attempted to intervene during this incident, and this person received a rather severe cut to their hand (also, not a life-threatening wound). Mr. McQuilliams was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds and then to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center where he was charged with Attempted Murder and Assault in the First Degree.

Officers responded to an auto vs. pedestrian accident at Ridge Rd and Colorado Avenue. Investigation found that a marked Manitou Springs Police vehicle was eastbound on Colorado when a 28 year old male pedestrian attempted to cross the road despite much oncoming traffic. The pedestrian was struck by the police vehicle, causing non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Manitou officer was not injured. The pedestrian will be issued a citation. Investigation is ongoing.
