Title
3100 Block of W. Pikes Peak Ave.
Location
On 09/24/16, Officers from the Gold Hill Division were dispatched to a disturbance involving a gun on the 3100 block of W. Pikes Peak Ave. When the first officer arrived on scene, many of the occupants of the address were outside the residence and pointing at a vehicle leaving the scene. The officer initiated a stop of this vehicle and the driver of the vehicle stopped and then fled on foot. The driver was lost by the pursuing officer during the foot pursuit. The officer then returned to the originally dispatched scene and learned that an individual by the name of Dan Vigil (a 39 year old male) went into the residence with a handgun and confronted an armed resident inside the address. There was an argument inside the residence that transitioned to the outside of the residence and when the armed resident observed the first officer coming into the area, he fled the scene in a vehicle. After an investigation, Dan Vigil was arrested for Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender and Felony Menacing. An arrest warrant was issued for the armed resident of the involved address. A search warrant was obtained for the involved address and marijuana and methamphetamine were recovered.
