On December 14, 2018, at approximately 11:05 PM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the 700 block of Geiger Court on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located four victims in a commercial building parking lot, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. All four individuals were transported to local hospitals. Two adult males and one juvenile male are in serious and stable condition at local hospitals. One adult male succumbed to his injuries.

The Colorado Springs Police Departmentís Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for this investigation. This death is being investigated as a homicide and continues to be an active investigation. Follow Twitter for updates, as appropriate.

On 12/14/18 at 1846 hours, Officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to the 2700 block of South Academy Blvd on a reported robbery. Information was received that a male suspect entered the business and robbed the two employees at gunpoint. The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash prior to officerís arrival. North Circle Drive and East Uintah Street
Location
On December 13, 2018, at approximately 7:50 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified of a traffic crash involving an automobile and a pedestrian at the intersection of North Circle Drive and East Uintah Street. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, the pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital immediately upon the arrival of first responders. He later died while receiving treatment at a local hospital. The Colorado Springs Police Departmentís Major Accident Unit assumed responsibility for this investigation.

It was determined the pedestrian, 61 year old Dennis D. Eastom of Colorado Springs, was attempting to cross North Circle Drive westbound at East Uintah Street, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. Although he was crossing near the marked crosswalk, it was found he was crossing against the green light for southbound vehicular traffic. One vehicle was able to avoid Mr. Eastom; however, the following vehicle struck him. Alcohol, drugs, and speed are not considered factors in this investigation. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

This is the 48th traffic related fatality in Colorado Springs this year and the 13th pedestrian to be killed.

On the above date and time CSPD received a call of a person with weapons on the Vanguard School campus. Upon arrival officers contacted an adult female subject who had been detained by school administrators. The school administrators said the female was laying on an exterior wall on school grounds while having two large Samuri swords and knives on and near her. There were no specific threats, however the female had no legitimate business on campus and was potentially a threat. The female was taken into custody without incident and booked in the Criminal Justice Center for Weapons on School Grounds.

On the above date and time, Sand Creek officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of S Chelton Rd to respond to a robbery with a weapon. While in route, dispatch aired the suspect was a white or Hispanic female wearing a white hoodie and a dark colored bandana. During this incident the suspect pointed a weapon at the victim and left the area with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. At this time there is no immediate danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing.

Location
On 12-13-2018 at 7:50PM, officers of the Sand Creek Division responded to the intersection of N. Circle Drive and E. Uintah Street reference a traffic collision involving an automobile and a pedestrian.

Initial information indicates a pedestrian in the intersection was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on N. Circle Drive through the intersection with E. Uintah Street. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Major Accident Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed are not believed to be factor in this collision.

On Thursday, December 13, 2018, at approx. 8:37PM, the Colorado Springs Police Dept. responded to the Western Convenience store at 1900 W. Uintah St. regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He was given money and immediately left in an unknown direction. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. I 25 and the Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass
Location
The El Paso County Coronerís Office has identified the deceased male who was found with a gunshot wound on November 27, 2018, near Interstate 25 and the Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass. On December 10, 2018, the victim, identified as Raymond Maez, 22 years of age and a resident of Colorado Springs, succumbed to his injuries.

Mr. Maezís death is being actively investigated as the 35th homicide in 2018 by the Colorado Springs Police Department. The City of Colorado Springs investigated 31 homicides at this time last year. This continues to be an active investigation. All subjects have been identified.

On November 27, 2018, at approximately 9:22 AM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the area of HY-24BYP/I-25 on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside a tent, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

On 12/13/2018, beginning at 11:20 AM, CSPD began receiving multiple calls for reported bomb threats. Over the next hour and half, 12 to 15 bomb threats were sent to several businesses within Colorado Springs, and four schools and the Administration Building for Academy School District 20.

There were no suspicious devices found at any of the locations.

CSPD worked closely with Academy School District #20, and the employees at the affected businesses during this incident to ensure the safety of the students and employees at the businesses.

All schools will close at their normal times and bus routes will run on their normal schedules.
