FYI*****(STANDARD COMMENT) FIRE FLOW/HYDRANT REQUIREMENTS MET: On this site the theoretical water flows are --3300-- gpm, and the numbers of hydrant(s) are ---1-. This site, based upon the provided theoretical modeled fire flows, appear to meet the minimum flow requirements and/or the number of hydrant(s) for this structure.
FYI(13) FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION: FDCs shall be located in a CSFD approved location. The FDC shall be located on the front entrance and/or addressed side of the structure, fully visible and recognizable from the street. FDCs shall be location such that it is not blocked by any means or located behind parked vehicles and such that fire apparatus and hoses connected to the FDC do not obstruct access to building for other fire apparatus. FDCsshall be located within 40-ft of an approved fire department access road. There shall be a fire hydrant capable of supplying the fire flow requirements for the sprinkler system within 100 feet of the FDC. FDCs shall be mounted not less than 18-inches and not more than 4-foot above the level of the adjacent grade or access level. (NFPA 14:6.4.6)
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 8) GENERAL INSPECTIONS/PLANS & SCHEDULING Minimum notice of one week is required for all inspections. PLEASE plan ahead - call your inspections in with ample time to allow adequate scheduling. When calling, please have your complete CSFD plan review number(s) ready for each inspection request. ( For Example: 2005-1234- HS-2) The CSFD APPROVED sets of plans SHALL be on site for all inspections.

Issues or features that are not presented within the construction documents are assumed to be complaint with applicable codes/standards. It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that minimum code requirement are met as established by the Authority Having Jurisdiction, whether of not the requirements are specifically indicated on the submitted construction documents. The CSFD has reviewed the submittal in accordance with the fire code requirements of the 2003 International Fire Code, CSFD local amendments, City Code Standards, and applicable NFPA Standards. All plan review comments are subject to final on-site field inspections, and testing by the CSFD. Review and approval by the CSFD shall not relieve the applicant of the responsibility of compliance with the International Fire Code. (105.4.4)
