| Attention | This scope of work requires the following restrictions due to the wood-burning fireplace:
1. The appliance chimney must extend at least 2 feet above any roof within 10-ft of the appliance.
2. Spark arrester shall be provided on the cap of the chimney.
3. Trees shall be trimmed and/or removed to a minimum of 15-ft away from the appliance and/or chimney. Be Advised, the zoning approval prohibits removal of vegetation.
4. This appliance is subject to any imposed burn restrictions and or burn bans the Fire Marshal may impose at any time.
5. Open Burning Permits shall be obtained from the Health Department prior to every use.
6. Building Permit shall be obtained prior to installation. |
| Recommendation | It is strongly recommended a Gas fueled fireplace be installed. This will eliminate some of the restrictions based on the fuel type used.
Open buring permits are not required with gas fired appliances.
Gas-fired appliances are not subject to burn restrictions or burn bans

Due to work loads, holidays, meetings, vacations, etc...the CSFD cannot guarantee a two business day turnaround on all inspections. PLEASE help yourself by helping us - call your inspections in with ample time to allow adequate scheduling.
When calling, please have your complete CSFD plan review number(s) ready for each inspection request.

The CSFD APPROVED sets of plans SHALL be on site for all inspections. We cannot accept inspection requests over the fax or answering machines. |
