10/30/2009 ApprovedRESUBMITTED: The plans have been re-submitted, and the disapproved issues have been addressed as follows: **PLEASE NOTE** ALL COMMENTS FOUND ON PREVIOUS PLAN REVIEWS REMAIN ENFORCEABLE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IN THIS REVIEW. 1) HM comments were not addressed in the resubmitted plans. Therefore, Plan Reviewer contacted Mr. D. Miller, project manager. Mr. Miller will send via email a narrative response to the HM disapproved comments. Verbal report: Oxygen system is for the laundering/washing area and generates less than 1 gallon of ozone. This system is below the threshold requirements listed in IFC 3705. ***ATTENTION Provide warning and hazard placarding and labeling of this system at entrance to areas and equipment. 2) Cooling tower chemicals and materials shall be provided by an off site contractor who will service these units and maintain chemicals off site. Materials will be consumed only, no storage of chemicals. 3) No oxygen storage or staging areas will be supplied by Sunny Vista. This will be tenant occupied living quarters and tenants may have personal use oxygen supply (small quantity). Mr. Miller will verify this with the Sunny Vista. Plan reviewer noted that should Sunny Vista change use or storage beyond personal use and consumption of the oxygen, this facility shall contact the CSFD Hazardous Materials Section for further requirements and permit issues. 4) Narrative response see SCANNED DOCUMENTS. Based on the reported information, this facility houses materials that are below the permit amounts and therefore, is not required to apply for annual operational hazardous materials permit.
