 System plans must be picked up within 30 days. All system plans left longer than 30 days will be discarded as abandoned.

Once you're into the Web Guide, click on "Plan Review Status" This will also give you access to numerous other items that may assist you in your future project design work.
FYI*****(STANDARD COMMENT 6) The fire standpipe system is being installed by: WESTERN STATES FIRE PROTECTION This plan review is based on the requirements found within the 2003 Editions of the International Building Code, International Fire Code, and the 2006 edition of NFPA Standard 418.

Approved/Corrected*****(STANDARD COMMENT 9) RED-LINED CORRECTIONS The following items are to be corrected prior to final inspection: 1. Waterflow switch indicated is a paddle type. This is not permitted on a dry system - please change to a pressure switch. 2. Add a pressure guage to the system side of the control valve 3. Hose reel shall be covered to protect from environmental damage. 4. Foam tank shall be protected from freezing - if a heated housing is constructed, the heat must be thermostatically controlled and temperature sensors connected and monitored by the fire alarm system.
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 13) FLUSH AND HYDROSTATIC TESTING Underground flushing and the required 200 psi pressure test of the lead-in piping is to be completed and approved prior to connecting the riser to the underground mains and/or lead-ins. The flushing and pressure test is to be witnessed and approved in writing by a member of the Colorado Springs Fire Dept. All aboveground piping and attached appurtenances subjected to system working pressure shall be hydrostatically tested at not less that 200 psi and shall maintain that pressure with out loss for 2 hours. This is to include t he FDC piping. (NFPA 14:11.2 and 11.4)
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 20) LICENSED INSTALLER An On-Site Installer shall supervise all on-site work on any standpipe project. This On-Site Installer shall have a current Installer Certificate, on his/her person, while on the job site. The On-Site Installer shall be present on the job site any time work is being performed on the standpipe system.
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 23) MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS The approved set of Fire Sprinkler, manufacture's product data sheets on all equipment being installed, and the instillation permit are to be on site for all fire department inspections.
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 35) INSPECTIONS Minimum 2-business days notice is required to schedule an inspection. Please have your eight digit "Fire Department Plan Review Number" ready when calling to schedule an inspection.
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 39) KHJ - SCHEDULING INSPECTIONS STATIONS 1, 3, 4, 5, 13, 16 Starting October 3, 2005, Fire Inspectors will be scheduling their own calendars. Your assigned Inspector is Kris Johnson. You may contact him at 719-385-7257 to schedule all construction related inspection activities.
FYI(STANDARD COMMENT 40) ATTENTION: CSFD FEES. All fire department fees are to be paid prior to issuance of any permits. These fees must be paid directly to the Colorado Springs Fire Department - Development Review Enterprise - at 2880 International Circle - Suite 200-7. The Regional Building Department will NOT issue a building permit with out proof the fire department fees have been paid.
