This building is associated with the development of the Boulder Crescent neighborhood, one of the better preserved residential neighborhoods in the downtown area. It is distinguished by its curving streets and triangular-shaped park. Built sometime between 1892 and 1895, this Classic Cottage is characterized by the hipped roof with widely overhanging eaves and shaped rafters, dormers and porch with columns atop a shingled balustrade.
Originally the residence of Robert H. Widdicomb and his wife Marion K. Widdicomb, it later served as the longtime residence of Dr. Arthur J. and Mary A. Kiser. Dr. Kiser was a dentist with offices in the Burns Building from 1919 to 1962, when he retired at the age of 89. Locally significant.
