This two-story brick house is representative of the late Victorian middle class dwelling erected in Colorado Springs, as reflected in the steeply pitched cross-gable roof, segmented arched windows, brick lintels and stone sills. The staggered brickwork on the corners and the cut-away corners of the gables are additional features. The house was built sometime before 1895.
The earliest known residents were Albert H. and Lillian Atkins; Mr. Atkins was associated with the Morley and Atkins billiard and pool hall. Locally significant.
