This house is one of the large, architecturally distinguished dwellings erected on North Nevada Avenue in the early 20th century. The initial owners, Shields Harden Sanner and his wife Cornelia J. Sanner, were farmers that moved to the city for their daughter's health, and lived on North Nevada Avenue while this residence was being built.
The house is of Edwardian design, with an elaborated entrance with decorative glass and a wrap-around porch. Locally significant.
