The Near North End subarea of downtown is located between the Colorado College and the downtown core, and flanks two principal streets. Tejon Street was deemed the central downtown spine in the Downtown Action Plan, and Nevada Avenue was the traditional north-south route, leading to both Pueblo and Denver. It contains three major historic churches, and a host of single family residences, many of which have been converted to multifamily and office uses.
