This eclectic building was constructed on the site of the Frantzhurst Trout Farm, an early supplier of fresh fish to the region. Designed and constructed between 1963 and 1967 by Ken Schmidt, it contains materials salvaged from other buildings in the city. The trusses originated from the Safeway store once located near the Antlers Hotel (the trusses in the Trestle Building at 219 West Colorado Avenue were stored here before their reuse), bathroom fixtures and door hardware originated with the Arrow Hotel, and an interior staircase was once located in Cheyenne Mountain High School. Locally significant.
