This house is representative of the small frame dwellings erected to house working class families along Mill Street during the early 20th century. Late Victorian in style, it displays L-shaped gables, drop siding, stone foundation, tall double-hung sash windows and a porch with turned spindle supports and balustrade.
Mrs. Irene Parrish (widow of William F. Parrish, who died in 1908) is the earliest known occupant, listed at this address in 1910. Mr. Parish had worked at the Portland Mill, and upon his death, left a wife and four young sons. Locally significant.
