The Dorchester Park subarea of downtown
includes a modest working class residential neighborhood, as well
as a scattering of eclectic commercial and industrial
buildings. Dorchester Park was one of the earliest gifts of
parkland to the City, preceding most of the parks donated by
General William J. Palmer, the city’s founder. An intact
postwar motel is one of the notable buildings. |
