This house is representative of the small brick buildings erected by working class families during the early 20th century. A one-story gable-end residence with painted brick, it features overhanging eaves and eave returns with a small segmented arched entrance and windows with stone sills.
This building was constructed sometime between 1900 and 1907, and was initially occupied by Mrs. Janet F. Riley, the widow of Herbert Riley. It displays greater remaining integrity than its twin to the south. Locally significant.
