Question:     Are Uncle Wilbur and/or Julie Penrose fountain in America the Beautiful Park operating today and what are their hours?

Answer:       Call the Aquatics and Fitness Center at 385-5984 to see if they are operating today or click here: City Fountains for the hours of operation.

Question:     Prospect Lake questions, including regarding swimming, boating, fishing, remote control boats, etc.

Answer:       Call the Aquatics and Fitness Center at 385-5984, press ?0? to reach a Front Desk Customer Service staff member.

Question:     Park Pavilion reservation questions, including requests regarding sprinklers, electricity, lights, school end-of-year picnics and field days, etc.

Answer:       Call the reservation line at 385-5941 for Pavilion Reservation, 385-6520 for Special Events and 385-6531 for Field Reservations and they will update your reservation and contact the appropriate people.

Question:     Garden of the Gods Wedding information.

Answer:       Weddings are not granted exclusive use but are put in the computer so only one should be going on at a time. Click here: GOG Weddings

Question:     I am a Boy Scout and I want to do something for my Eagle Scout project.

Answer:       Call our Volunteer Office at 385-6520.

Answer:       Call 385-6519 to Adopt-a-Park or check Adopt-a-Park

Question:     Who is responsible for cutting weeds?

Answer:         Homeowners are responsible for cutting their own weeds. If weeds are blocking visability you can call Code Enforcement at 444-7891. Parks maintenance is responsible for some weeds in right-of-ways next to parks, report vandalism or weed problems online: parks maintenance request or call 385-5945.

Question:     How can I get a new tree on my street in front of my home?

Answer:       New Home Tree Program: http://www.springsgov.com or Street Tree Replacement Program: http://www.springsgov.com

Question:       I have tree branches down from the wind. Can you pick them up?

Answer:       Yes, if they are from a City tree in the right-of-way we?ll put you on the list to pick them up when the crew is in the area, call Forestry at 385-5942 and leave your address and zip code.

Question:       Where can I get free mulch?

Answer:         Forestry Operations Center Mulch Location:
Take I-25 to Fontenero, Exit #144, travel east to Recreation Way, travel south on Recreation Way to 1601 Recreation Way (big metal bldg. with Forestry Operations Center sign in front and fence around it). The free mulch pile is on the WEST side of the street, across from that building and homeowners can load up what you need! (Not for commercial use or resale.)

Question:       The tree in the back yard is growing into power lines. Who do I call?

Answer:       Call CSU Line Clearance at 448-4800.

Question:     I need street tree maintenance (pruning/removal/stumping/visibility clearance, etc.) who do I call?

Answer:       Call City Forestry at 385-5942.
