~PERMITS

GENERAL USE PERMIT grants permission to be in a park or portion thereof on a first-come first-serve basis. It does not guarantee exclusivity. (Example: School Group)

A MAJOR AND MINOR PARK USE PERMIT guarantees exclusivity and may be obtained when 1) a reservation area is used or, 2) the probability of a large number of people (100 or more) would preclude coincidental use of a park or portion thereof.

A COMMERCIAL USE PERMIT is necessary for the use of a park or portion thereof:

Any activity for which an admission is charged.

A class or course of instruction for which a fee is charged.

Commercial filming, i.e. movie-making, video taping or photography.

Any activity for which monetary benefit is to be derived directly or indirectly.
