Volunteer Opportunities

Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services offers the opportunity to volunteer for fun projects that last through the spring/summer/fall.

DETAILS AVAILABLE UNDER EACH PAGE TO LEFT.

Beautiful parks require a little dirty work! Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services "Adopt-A-Park" program provides an opportunity for individuals, volunteer groups, neighborhood associations, and businesses to take an active role in the maintenance and improvement of local parks, trails and green spaces.

Springs in Bloom program seeks individuals, families, clubs and businesses to adopt any of approximately 100 flower beds located throughout Colorado Springs. You can help create community by putting together a team of volunteers to participate.

Adults, Youth & Teens, Groups, One-time Opportunties:  Looking for a community service project? The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services has teamed up with the Trails and Open Space Coalition to create "Partners in Open Spaces and Parks".

Coaching: The Coaching Volunteer Program is a rewarding way to spend time with your kids and their friends while helping them to learn sports skills from soccer, t-ball to football. Coaches are richly rewarded with the satisfaction they gain from working with fun kids in a team atmosphere!

Visitor's Centers:  By volunteering at the Garden of the Gods, Starsmore Discovery Center, Helen Hunt Falls or Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site you can meet people from all over the world and from your own community. The department has four locations that utilize volunteers to help with many fun activities

Boards, Committees & Friends Groups: Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services is fortunate to have several advisory boards whose members care deeply about our parks, programs and facilities. Below is a listing of our different boards and committees, each group's mission statement, and a contact person should you have any questions or comments regarding that group. We welcome citizens to take part in our public meetings, and are always open to your suggestions and comments.
