SpringsGov.com request for City services goes mobile
Making a request for City services just got a little easier. The City of Colorado Springs has implemented GORequest, a web-based program that allows citizens to use iPhones and other mobile devices to make a service request to the City. While on the go, citizens can now easily report the issues that fall under the following categories* from their mobile device:
- Abandoned vehicles
- Barking dogs
- Metropolitan Transit
- Noise ordinance
- Park/Trail/Open Space Maintenance
- Sidewalks/Curb and Gutter
- Traffic Signals
- Traffic Signs and Markings
*Categories are subject to change based on the most popular service requests at any given time. Other issues not listed on the mobile application can be reported via e-mail (AskCity@SpringsGov.com) or phone: 719-385-City (2489).
Free iPhone GORequest application available via iTunes store
iPhone users simply download the free GORequest application from the iTunes stone, open the app, and select an issue to report. iPhone users can also take a picture of whatever it is they are reporting, then tap submit. The app knows the exact location and sends the issue directly to the City. Users are kept up-to-date on the status of their issue via e-mail until the service request is fulfilled. iPhone users can also follow the City RSS feed for news and events to get the latest information from SpringsGov.com.
Other mobile usersAny internet capable mobile device can utilize the GORequest application by going to www.springsgov.com/mobileand clicking on ?Citizen Request? under ?Other Mobile Device Users,? or go directly to the citizen request interface by typing http://m.govoutreach.com/coloradospringsin to the web address. A mobile app for Blackberry is expected to be available in the coming months.

I don't get the "Add to Home Screen" button when I try to add the icon to my home screen, why not?
If you have maximized the number of icons/applications allowed by the iPhone (176), you will no longer have the option to add to the home screen.
