Curlie Matthews
Chief Information Officer
Curlie O. Matthews was named Chief Information Officer for the City of Colorado Springs in July 2007. He manages the Department of Information Technology, which includes data and voice services, the City?s GIS division as well as enterprise applications and Intra-Internet services. He previously served as the Chief Information Officer, where he directly supervised all information management platforms, for the City of Henderson, Nevada.
Mr. Matthews has over 25 years of experience in the information technology, telecommunications and information management fields and has worked for Disney Worldwide Services, Litton Computer Services, AT&T, and Pacific Telephone. He also was a police officer for the City of Los Angeles for 5 years.
Curlie holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. His undergraduate degree was earned at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
