Southern Colorado Sustainability Conference Nov. 18 & 19
The Catamount Institute's Southern Colorado Sustainability Conference is one of the region's leading events featuring cutting-edge sustainability experts, technology, products, and best practices attracting hundreds of people each year from the business, local, and military communities.
Thursday, Nov. 18 - All events free this day as a gift by the Catamount Institute to the community.
9 a.m. - Noon Recycling Summit hosted by El Paso County and moderated by Laurie Batchelder Adams, President of LBA Associates, Inc., a solid waste consulting firm in Denver, specializing in cost-efficiency and environmental sustainability. City Council Member Jan Martin has agreed to be one of several roundtable participants.
Noon Registration and Expo open (Antlers Hotel will be featuring local food specials in their restaurants.)
2 - 4 p.m. Breakout sessions
4 - 6 p.m. Sustainable State of the Region and Community Sustainability Awards (see next article for details)
6 - 8 p.m. Reception, vendor expo, rood, cash bar, live music, and product demos

Friday, Nov. 19 conference events are $85 with a Pikes Peak Sustainable Business Network membership. Please join City employees Nick Kittle (Public Works) and Meghan Riesterer (Office of Sustainability) who are presenting during the breakout sessions.

8:30 - 9:30 a.m. General session and keynote address by Fedele Bauccio, Co-Founder and CEO of Bon Appétit Management Company
10 - 11:30 a.m. Breakout sessions
Noon -1:30 p.m. Lunch and keynote address by Randy Udall of Energy Analyst
1:45 - 4:30 p.m. Breakout sessions
4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Sustain the Buzz - program & giveaways
